OK Birthday time and Salina has come through she purchased me a CyclePump form Adventure Moto (yes local, and she got an Old Bull discount) She rang Steve and managed to tell him what I had mentioned in passing

Here it is a CyclePump out of the bag

The hose clips on to the valve doesn’t need to be held on

She also got the donner hose so you can inflate you tyre from another tyre, like a car tyre etc

Has a bonus Steve threw in the CyclePump gauge free :woohoo: Looks great quality and can be hooked into the pump and used while pumping the tyre up, and has a deflate button

All packed up in the bag

Some details from Adventure Moto about the pump

At last there’s an EASY way to fill a flat tire or adjust your tire pressure on the road, without resorting to inefficient CO2 cartridges, a frustratingly slow hand pump, or a cheap imported tire inflator of questionable quality. You get what you pay for.

The CyclePump is the Gold Standard, against which all other motorcycle inflators are measured.

The CyclePump uses a powerful 12 volt electric motor and a high quality metal compressor assembly that has been specially hardened for motorcycle applications. To run the CyclePump simply connect it to any 12 volt power source (like your bike’s electrical accessory socket or the terminals of your battery). Attach the air hose to the tire, flip the switch, and begin filling your tire.

The CyclePump is proudly made in the USA from precision crafted aircraft-grad aluminum alloys. We don’t use fragile plastic components that can easily break when you drop it on the ground. The switch and internal components are armored and ruggedized, so the unit is virtually indestructible. The CyclePump is truly ready for an around-the-world expedition.

Will post up how it goes but it’s a must have for next years 4 week 5 desert trip so we can deflate the tyres for the sand and pump back up for the high speed hard dirt roads

Looks like a good bit of gear mate. Very handy when changing pressures in sand etc.

A heap better than socks on your birthday too ;)

I was looking at those a while back, reckon they are a great addition for bike or even the car on trips ,,,
Good old Steve at Adventure Moto looked after me today with a great price on Case protectors for the Kato ;)

Where do you store it on the bike SB? , I like the idea of keeping one tucked away somewhere!!

    Cheers

I keep it stashed under the rear seat on my Roadie along with a Tubeliss repair kit & CO Inflator kit, tight, but it all fits in.

TB forgot that the ciggy fitting is actually a Powerlet with an adaptor, wouldn’t bother with a ciggy fitting after using Powerlets. Shame the importer of the Powerlets is a tool

So true SB we have converted the Teneres to powerlets with a great deal of sucess ;) I meant to mention that the red end comes of the ciggy plug and becomes a powerlet, I told Nick on the phone but   Dont need to get them from the importer, auto one had the couple we needed

Wont fit under the seat of the Tenere either Nick, wont go close
