thank you. i will start with the no brainer stuff then see what happens,,,Do these bikes make good ADV bikes do they?

They are a good bike boony, a bit like the XR’s in that if they had brought out en E start model plenty would still be riding them I reckon. See if you can someone to drag you around behind a vehicle so as not to wear out your leg kicking it maybe.

If you want a hand Boony I will tow you around to get it going. Yes I know this is tech help so I am not taking the piss. I remember when they canned those bikes and ADB did a big spread on them as a last hurrah. Remember them all in a line with their front wheels blocked digging trenches!

The Belgarda was called a TTR 600 wasn’t it??

I don’t think so Aaron, just TT600, the TTR was the later models as far as I know. The Belgarda was just an italian spin on the bike, mine had a left hand thread for one of the mirror mounts and right on the other. The sales guy said it seemed they picked left or right thread depending on their mood the day they put the bike together :D

Boony, How long has it not been going?? If it has been sitting for a long while it will most likely need a carbyectemy. If you can earth out the plug and it sparks I would look at the carby first. Idle jet may be gummed up. If it has old stale fuel in the carby when you kick it a few times you will smell a smell that is a bit like the smell of turps in the air. I have noticed that smell when I have fiddled with old bikes that have been sitting around for a while. If so a quick clean of the carby and away they go.

Its definetly a spark issue mick. The regulator seems to be cactus and I`m hoping it didnt take the CDI with it, will keep you posted.Carby will get an ectamy anyway to clean it out if nothing else.

Bring it to my place i’ll have a look at it for u ………..will take me a while might involve a fair bit of test riding??:woohoo:

I’ve seen Boony kicking he couldn’t kick the arse out of a dead cat

Just to keep the tech thread happy
    Clean the carby
    New fuel
Tow it down the road after pulling plug out and putting fuel in the cylinder ………works with my old ag bike every tyime

its not an adventure bike don’t let them scare u Boony

Steady Eagle 02 Boony has this in the tech thread. I think he put it here for more then just tech help but we need to play the game here, not the player

May I suggest another thread for your GOOD questions ;)

Boony if its a true adventure bike you may have forgotten that you need to start the generator first as the bike probably runs on 240volt. On Bollocks bike the generator was located in the overhead locker. Don’t forget the long leads that came with it will allow it to go up to 30 metres off road.
