Folks, for those that are interested, this is where I have fitted my RAM mount for my SPOT 2 Satellite Messenger on my Tenere XTZ660. I still have full free handle bar movement with all my bar accessories in place (always very important :P ).

This is the first time that I have tried the SPOT on my bike and it works perfectly, giving position updates every 10 minutes and having the option to push a SOS button for help.

I have my Spot Tracker set up on the sternum strap of my Camelback. I can reach it with either hand and if I become separated from the bike the spot stays with me. They also recommend in the manual that it should be kept 1 foot from other gps devices.

A great idea STM! I like the bit that it stays with you if you get separated from the bike.

Hopefully I never get separated from the bike but if the SHTF, then the SPOT should keep on plugging away regardless and somebody looking can send in the cavalry

Thanks for the 1 foot tip, I measured mine and it is far enough from my Garmin GPS, so its all good, more by luck than judgement!

    Cheers.
