I’ve just got a dual cab and need to install a car kit to get better reception with an aerial. Not real keen on screwing anything into the dash/console. Has anybody used/got a kit that attaches any other way and stays put.

We have used a bracket that clips onto the air vent in the Hilux at work and it works well but looking at the Nissan dual cab air vents I don’t think the same system would work.

    Thanks for any ideas.

Use a dab of polyurethane or adhesive silicone
    not too much poly
silicone would be better its easier to get off and u can use as much as u like
I use it for radios and carkits
i use poly as well but u have to be careful how much you use

and if youre after carkits for nokias i bought a ck 200 and a ck 100 Bluetooth and a carcomm cradle with the extermal aerial socket

haven’t hooked up the 200 yet but the 100 is good

don’t buy in town 2 expensive

For those that are interested, went to the auto electrician today. There is a bracket that clips from the edge of the air vent to the edge of one of the dash panels for the Nissan. Made by Bury. No need for screws and all good. It’s being put on today.

You can also get what they call a secrect or hidden bracket. I have a late model commodore and they took the radio out, attached the bracket then put the radio back in. I have a Blackberry with a Bury kit as well. The arial is stuck to the windscreen up high out of site.

    Works well. Gaz
