    Hi All,

My name is Mick I have recently moved to Wauchope, also recently purchase my first ever bike which is a CRF450R
Now since I’m new to this sport i did not realise the difference between road registered bikes and mine, I only had intentions on riding in the bush hopefully with people i meet on the way. i like to explore the open trails, i hate the tight single trails.

I have noticed this is the only website that has members close to Wauchope and ride regulary but i also realised you all have registered bikes! Do I Fit in with the crowd?? i only want to ride bush i now know its illeagal if you get court
but i will turn a blind eye since i’m new at this and at this present time i’m unable to hold a bike licence or hold registration even if i wanted to.

I’m also interested in these poney express things i keep reading about any information and anyone that will turn the blind eye to my inexperience and no licence would be much appreciated.

Will i fit in with your crowd??

    Cheers Mick.

Hi Mick, we can hook you up with the right people in the Wauchope area. Next weekend there is a sprint on at the Hastings Valley MCC track. You will need to purchase a day licence ($55) pay your entry fee (around $30) and a membership of the club ( $10 for the day or $25 for the year). Sprint racing is kinda like a pony express only you race against the clock as opposed to other riders. A CRF450R for your first bike is a big ask though, it will be like trying to ride a bag of cats to a newbie. Good luck with it champ.

    Hi Mick
Sanctioned events may be your only chance for legal riding with your bike. All trail rides that happen through this site require rego and licence so try a few events and if you enjoy it then trade your bike for an ADR model and you will be able to join in on heaps of great rides in your area.

    Welcome to the site.

Thanks Mick, i’m really new to this so i really dont know all the racing terms yet, i have had a look at the hvmcc website but nothing really explains every race type or qualifications for them, i’m not a racer yet and fair from it but i can handle myself on the bike, Rod from Mud N Tar has given alot of great advice and i have been buying all my gear from him probably spent close to a thousand already with clothes, tyres, and servicing.

from what i read i’m about level 3 rider already i’ll attack anything and get through it most of the time.

Hi Mick and welcome. Sounds as though the pony express thing is the go for you at the moment. Yes we are serious regarding rego here and dont turn a blind eye as such as I am sure the Mayor was discreetly getting at. We set this site up for the average over 30 bike rider, be it MX, Enduro, Motard, Adventure whatever but also to try and preserve what we have as we are losing ride areas faster than we can blink. Everyone is welcome here, we have members that only ride MX bikes and compete in Hattah, Yellow Mountain for example.

Good luck taming the 450 for a first bike, and enjoy the Hasting Valley club if you get into it they are a great club by all accounts

    CRF450R for first bike awesome….. :) :)

Not regoed,,,,not awesome.. :( :( :( :( there is no looking the other way when we do not promote illegal riding on this site and when your riding in a Old bulls ride and you get caught its not good promo because many of our bikes are plastered with the web site stickers that by the way you can get from TB when you trade the honda in on a DRZ,now thats awesome, and officer dribble will put one and one together ,

So I guess the only thing to do is find someone that is willing straight swap with me that hopefully has still enough power to keep me happy, I’ve gotten use to the bike already, so I would want to find at least a 400. Thanks for the help fellas I should get rid of this bike while I’m recovering from the fall I had last week, which has landed me with an extremely sore right leg which I can barely walk on so couple weeks before I can ride anyways.

Cheers fellas I’ll let ya know when I’m up and riding on a proper bike
