Hello all,
I hail from Victoria and i definately qualify for the forum title. I have a klx 450, had it about 6 months now, great bike, probably bit too much bike for my skill level, seem to put it down a fair bit. I have ridden bikes in my younger years then had a lean spell for lots of years with kids, home ,work etc,but got back into it a few years back, started back on a chinese 250, which really wasnt bad at all, lots of maintainance and bits break easy but lots of fun.
I ran the Stockmans rally, with my son a couple of weeks back was tough, really showed up my skills and age, but enjoyed the experience even with my confidence shot to bits.
If i had my time again i would probably get a 250 instead of the 450 but im stuck with it now, just have to improve my skills.Having said that this damm bike really has some go! 😆
Anyway good to be on the forum.November 1, 2011 at 8:34 pm #211182Welcome millsy. Its good to have another vicco onboard.
Where you from mate ? Where do you ride ?
November 1, 2011 at 8:55 pm #211183Yeah, G`Day Millsy

Welcome to the ratrace mate,,, I know how ya feel about the bike mate
I went from an `04 KLX250 to a `10 KTM 690R :woohoo:Just had a weekend away to the Xmas Party with the gang, covered 1155k on an awsome ride that had lots of dirt trails, some Hwy cruising, mud, clay, creek & river crossings and a flaming Thunderstorm on a montain top
Stick with it mate, and remember, little bits more often is the key

Be sure to hook up with Aido & the vicco gang if ya can, they are good blokes and have some top riding areas to cover

Cheers Mate
November 2, 2011 at 1:46 am #211184i mostly ride around labertouch, neerim area. did gentle annie a few weeks ago thought that was preety hard, not a patch on the stockmans. I was going to go for the Shane Watts course but waited too long, all gone but got on the waiting list if there is a cancellation. i have seen his videos and it would be nice to learn a few of his skills, not interested in competition just wheelie over a log or a controlled rutted hillclimb.

We usually ride at least once a month, but I am temporally without a bike at
the moment.November 3, 2011 at 8:22 pm #211185millsy wrote:Hello all,
