DY4 (or Spud) is a top boiler maker with vision and an artistic mind , I have posted his metal art before and he has generously donated the plaque below to an OBT charity auction.

I was at his place and saw these pot belly stoves. They are perfect for an outdoor area in winter and double as a barbecue , I bought this one with a stainless pipe on it and BBQ plate on top , Spud customized it for me and I’m stoked. :)

Spud is selling these for $225 which compared to a Bunnings 1 season wood burner is cheap as chips , he will customize it how you like and theirs no doubt these things work as either heater or BBQ.

I will bring mine to Coffs this weekend so you can check them out and if you like order one with Spud then, or PM either Spud (Dupsyam4) or myself Nickj If your keen ;)

Did you donate the standard suzuki joiner link to be used as the hinge. Looks a little under strength for the job to me!!

A neat looking piece of kit.

I would :) I have asked Spud for one already and needed to find a muffler, saved me going to the wreckers
Can you PM your number please (lost my phone this week  ) and I will ring to organise how I can pick it up

    Thanks

These look cool! I have a Chimanea already but like the idea of these.

A quick question though, is the muffler necessary? I don’t have one to provide. I’m thinking it will help keep the heat in the ‘pot belly’ a little longer as the flow of air is reduced (the exhaust provides a restriction).

Come to think of it, I do have an old expansion chamber which could work. With some extra piping I could use it in the lounge :P
