After having had nearly every neck brace on the market to date and not getting one that would fit. I suffer from reallybignoneckidess so a brace that was adjustable and low was important. I found these and after some phone calls through our local channels I bought a couple for Nick and I to try and see how they go. They turned up yesterday and seem really comfortable thus far. I have forwarded Nicks to him, he should have it tomorrow so
we will see how they go and let you know

November 30, 2011 at 11:35 am #212385Looks to be a half decent bit of safety kit at a good price
Should be well suited to most ADV riding ,,,
Keep us posted on the performance (no crash testing required though)  :laugh:Cheers
December 1, 2011 at 9:23 pm #212422I’ve now got the neck support that TB kindly sorted for me and I have to say it’s a quality looking bit of gear.
I tried it on and I think like any new gear it will need a break in period to get usd to the new restrictions of the support but who doesn’t put on boots for the 1st time and need to get used to them.
Time will tell but 1st impressions are good

May 29, 2012 at 10:12 pm #222993I have had an EVS R4 now for about 2 months, my views
GOOD
Lightweight
Not noticeable when riding 90% of the time
Locking system works wellBAD
In tight snotty situations where you have to duck your head under obstacles you cant duck as low as you think you can (I have broken 2 helmet peaks ducking trees at pace…)
In a heavy crash the load seems to be placed squarely on the muscles either side of your neck/ shoulder blades, I have walked away with bruising but I’d much sooner have bruises then snap my neck
If you use the supplied straps it pays to remember to take your camelback off before the neck brace (have been tangled up a few times at service stations.)IMO for the price people would be mad not to have one, I have honestly found the only people that bad mouth the braces tend to not have one themselves and generally dont see the sense in spending $$$ on other safety equipment (knee braces, helmets over $500) I would much sooner be out of pocket for few weeks then spend my remaining life in a wheelchair should the unthinkable happen
