    Hi guys and gals,
I am just getting into trail riding and just getting my butt into gear and getting my bike license, I am looking at buying a 2011 Yamaha XTZ660 Tenere and have been reading TB’s report on such.

I currently own a 2006 Nissan Patrol Wagon which I love but I love the freedom of riding. I am excited about getting my new bike. Will post photos when I get her :)

Living and working in the Territory opens up a lot of riding and touring to be had. I actually work in Kakadu so I can base my self either here or Darwin.

    Cheers

Welcome again mate, Kakadu eh nice I am sure when Nick and I get organised for a big ride we will be chatting with you. You will enjoy the Tenere mate they are a good soild bike, people say they are a little heavy but they go quiet when their bikes frame cracks, or their bikies subframes crack etc. The Tenere does nearly everything very very well but nothings perfect, if it was a Honda well that would be different
Post some pictures up when you get it and if you need a hand or advice there are a few of us here that have them.

BTW how did you find the site?

I was searching information regarding the Tenere and your post popped up :) then I decided that it was such a good write up that I would join and milk you guys for more information.

Big rides are great :). I am thinking of driving to the cape sometime with my Tenere on the back and exploring on it around the Cape, should be a great trip I think. I also have family in Tassie and have lived there a bit so the west coast looks like another good prospect :)

Checked out the Tenere and I think it may be too tall for me. When I sit on it I have too tippy toe to touch the ground on both sides at the same time lol

    Hey Muzza

I recently was looking for a Tenere after getting a sniff of Adventure riding, and riding TB’s a few times, but after long chats and follow the mighty beast, with TB at the helm I decided against it, as we both though, being a big bike it would take some learning to ride, and some coin to set up! So I bought a DR650, and love it! A few old bulls have them and fell the same! They go everywhere, simple design, and cheap! Check out our build at the link bellow!
