I just spent the morning fooling around in the hills of gold on a borrowed Honda CRF250x, Apart from feeling like you need to wring its neck constantly, I am quite impressed with the lightness, handling, easy of manouvrability. The thing turns on a dime, and it felt like a BMX bike through the singles. The jury is still out on this bike as the 2012 update?

Ohhh and I am not over keen on the black plastics

my brother had a 07 CRF 250 and he sold it for a Wr450.

he always says that apart from the valve problems he still misses the CRF

It seems the CRF250X is the flavour of 2011!

Aaron, Crash and Nickj. All capable riders who are stoked with their new toys.

Do it Boony , you won’t regret it !! ;)

I really enjoyed my ride on the black Crf250 , so much within 2 weeks I bought one . I am so impressed with how much quicker the bike turns than the Drz , the weight difference is obviously huge , the power really isn’t that much different as it has great mid range, the suspension is the best I’ve felt on any bike , the clutch is superb , the brake stop you , it feels very planted like the Drz but not because it’s heavy , the high rev range is heaps of fun etc etc etc etc ……

Oh and it’s easy to pick up :D :D

I agree with your explanation of the bike Nick, I could even do them flick turns when turning around there that light, never had to pick it up though.

The black plastics look a bit crap i know but Mat from bikes and bits is looking at a sticker kit for the shop from Serco ??? I think. Would be good to see what it is like. That is what it needs. The plastics were only ever put on it so the originals stay like they are when new. Boony the only reason you can do those sliding turns is because the rear tire is a slick!! And its not getting a new tire until I can’t get up a hill that the Drz’s are climbing!! :P

Coming from mr rag in airbox and oh no I seized my bike getting it off the trailer, your probably the last person to put shit on katos for being so reliable at breaking down. I rode your little toy on Friday and after discussing it with the other Tamvegas riders we have decided that if you insist on riding a bmx bike with a rocket motor then you have to carry two concrete blocks in your backpack on future rides to make it fairer. (did feel the suspension was a bit soft on jumping erosion mounds but that may be the diff between me being 105 kg and you being 32 kg)
