Thanks Murph and Chris what a top ride, the best old bull ride ive beeen on yet.
I think we did about 60ks in 7 hours mostly single track mostly in first gear, I only used third a dozen times.
The trails were top shelf, nice technical singles with challenging hills and heaps of rock steps.
It was great to ride somewhere so different to coffs we dont really have big slabs of rock or the half buried rocks like the down there. It was also good to ride with better riders I picked up a few tips like how to ride down a 2m high cliff (It was easy once you commit or should i say are forced into a corner 😆 )
Best stack was big Al who endoed his Berg on a steep hill and ended up in the creek the muffler had dirt in it so it must have done at least one flip.
Highlights were the rock steps, the first hill and seeing some great riders in action including when Chris rode up the 2m cliff from a standing start.
Lowlights were running out of water after blowing a radiator hose, getting stuck in a mud pit and the cramps wich forced me up the chicken track on the last hill ( when Murph told me had only made it once I didnt even look at it )
Hats off to Chris , Tim and Sam who did make it.
Awesome ride cant wait to get back there, shame I couldnt do monday, youll have to hold another one soon.

Thanks Murphs *3 for putting us up and putting up with us

Thanks to all that participated great bunch of blokes who Can and love to ride

I would call it a challenging weekend I enjoyed all of it from 11 am sun until 5pm Mon 👿 👿 👿

There were only two other small moments that i didn’t enjoy

My very first 20 m walk (crawl)of shame Sat Morn

The first step of Amazon when i smashed my Hip

I need to ride my bike more than once every 6 weeks if i’m going to tackle trails like that

Thanks to Murph engineering for the facilities and shed engineers who helped out sun morn …better than a bought one that

Thanks to our tour leaders TOP JOB

I’m coming again I really can’t fathom why I like smashing myself up so much but i Love it , awesome
    Bring it on
    Where to next?????????????

As usual ktm has quite a bit of footage and some very special moments caught on cam
    hope you enjoy
Don’t bother asking Ktm rules and serious questions on the trail as he lies and or just grins and looks at you with his evil eyes and Tim well he just shrugs his shoulders and says “nah its pretty easy you’ll be right”

That will do for now no doubt i will have to correct a few things later when the stories start to flow

Ps at the top of Amazon where the trail splits ,up tree roots or down trough the boghole and up a rock shelf are the tree roots do able or is that the down ramp from hell only

Hear , hear Ev. An awesome two days of tough ,technical riding.

Highlight for me was the hospitality shown to us by Murph and his family. Thank you.

Bob , I went left up the sandstone steps to the roots same as KTM_Rules. Mummy’s little man was heading that way as well before he caught a rut and impressively made his own path up.

Warning , KTM_Rules may have some footage of a guy wearing the same kit as me riding my bike and crashing it a few times. He is my stunt double.

Question : How many pro riders does it take to get a WR450 up stage One of Amazon?

    Answer: 5

OK boofhead, so it wasn’t the one you were stuck in for 5 minutes then. It was a bit of a blur. Show me next time we do it.

I guess you cant see Mal1.0 behind your bike. Check the second shot. Where is he? Taking a piss behind the tree? He is pushing your fat arsed, short legged frame up the easy section.

At least I didn’t bore you to death this trip.

Go do some work , if you are not too hurt. I am off to bed.

I know where you are thinking about now. Just before the bog hole on the right hand side. I’d say the pros can do it but us gumbies need not apply. :silly: Maybe on a good day with a new tyre and no fear.

Big thanks to Muph’s and Chris from me as well. Started off sluggish but once I got my second wind I really enjoyed the day and the challenging trails.

Hard front braking on a slippery downhill is ok until you hit mesh then up and over I went! A few bruises only so all good and glad my bike didnt hit me or you too Ev!

Well what a great couple of days riding. :woohoo:
Huge thanks to everyone for making it the fun that it was.
KTM_Rules and I did all the leading and he even showed me some new singles that I hadn’t been on. :)
We had Ev travel from Coffs just for the one day, awesome.
Bob, Galey and Mal from out Bathurst way. I think Galey had to work at 11:00 Monday night.
The rest of the boys were from more local areas and I’m pretty sure they all enjoyed themselves.
Might write more later but in the meantime here are a few pics
    Cheers
