I know some of you stayed after the announcement (the ride being cancelled) on Friday afternoon did some of you still go for a ride on your own or with mates?
How was the dinner at the hall after that was moved from the camp?

Congrats to Bollocks the new King :woohoo:

I had great ride on Saturday. I was going to go on my own but luckily Tim turned up and I was able to follow him so I didn’t get lost. It was some of the best riding I have been on for a long time.

Thanks to Tim and the others that came along ;)

    Yep, Sure did ;)

Well seeing as I had ridden from Newcastle (departing 5am) and arived to see that most had received the bad news & either stayed home or returned home anyway :(

I had my gear to camp on the bike, and it was too far to ride back safely in one day in the dark,,, so I camped a couple of nights and rode out to Hill End on saturday for lunch & back in the rain
Lucky for me there were a few other guys that also had thought of riding to Hill End, so they rode with me B)

Then I had to ride back to Newcastle today in the rain again  :S

I might load my GPS track later if I can load up ;)

Hope you all had a good weekend and weren`t put out too much with the cancellation ??????????
Maybe I will catchup with you guys next time instead …

    Cheers

After travelling over 11 hours from the North Coast we were not going to turn around so we set up camp and caught up with a few of the crew that stayed.
Saturday morning we went out with a small group and explored the forest for a few hours. Shame the event could not go ahead but we still had fun.

Yeah I moved my camp and went for a ride with some mates instead I have some video footage I took I will get posted later. It was wet, slippery and fun :woohoo: I am sure most stayed around the area not all where it was going to happen. The attendance at the hall for the dinner the auctions and presenation of the new King was amazing considering all the dramas and the event being cancelled at the 11th and 7/8s hour.

I also got up there only to find that the ride had been cancelled. :( But seeing that I had a leave pass for the weekend I decided to go for a ride anyway ;) And bugger me I ran into a few mates and we decided to go for a great ride. B) It was bloody awesome :woohoo: Great blokes, great trails how good does it get. Weather was a bit damp but s#$& happens. Thanks to the guys that helped me up one of the last hills, you know who you are, and sorry to one particular bloke (Crash) who i roosted the crap out of and then proceeded to knock him off his bike while he was minding his own business   Sorry mate, I think I owe you a beer or ten.

    Cheers,
    Lefty

Thanks again steve you’re a champ. Was a awesome route and can’t wait to do it all again (completely)

Shame about the ride, I went for a fang anyway and ran into this yokel and his mountain friends.
The guy must be have been lost cause he kept taking us down these crazy trails with impossible hill climbs that 2/3 of us couldnt get up, he didnt offer any assistance and then hed disappear and it was everyman for himself to find a way back, it was awesome:evil:
