    when i was workn up north [bull catchn and contracting mustering] we did what you did to all our bikes mainly xr’s and was a great benifit to fuel range. we never had a problem with splitn or leakn but as you said use common sense

    Are you sure you’re an XR rider Mick. This is an old school XR mod. Need to be careful that the tank doesn’t expand and rub on anything such as the frame as they can wear holes over time.
