I can announce now that Lantana Man will take care of trail maintenance. Entertainment will be supplied by MC Chronic and Fully Loaded Man will sort out the catering so you know it will be good.
Friday Ride
Friday’s ride will leave from the United Service Station at Mullaway at 2pm. As people are driving that day no doubt someone will need fuel, a bite to eat or some air in their tyres so if we meet here any dramas can be solved before we head out. It is less 3 kms south of Darlington Beach Resort and it is on the Pacific Hwy so it is impossible to miss. Here it is on the map.
The ride will finish back at the resort so it is best to unload up there and then ride down unless you run out of time. If so then there is plenty of space to unload and leave your car at the servo.Friday Ride group:

Dinner for Friday night is booked at the Amble Inn and the shuttle bus will run us from the resort to the pub and back. The shuttle bus will commence pick ups from 6.30pm and run for 20 mins so if you get there after that you will need to organise a taxi or ring the pub and try and get them back to pick you up. The shuttle will run you back to the resort when you are done.Saturday Morning
I met with Darlington Park and organised breakfast for Saturday morning. Last year some people bought food with them and others went looking for it on the Saturday morning and had to rush back to make the ride so I thought this would be the best option. This way we all get fed in one spot and we are all gathered together ready for rider breifing at 8.30am.
If you do want to bring your own breakfast and eat it in your cabin on Saturday morning you can still do that but I thought this would be a good start to the day.
For anyone bringing their family they are included in this deal and I also arranged a price for kids.
Breakfast will be served at 7.30am in ‘The Ponds Cafe’.
$16 per adult:
$9 per child:
• Selection of juices, teas and coffee
• Selection of cereals, muesli and yoghurt
• Toast with condiments
• Fresh whole fruit or fruit salad
• Scrambled or fried eggs and crispy baconBreakfast List

Rob400 (Sweep)Saturday Lunch
Lunch on Saturday will be at the Golden Dog Hotel in Glenreagh. They do a great range of blackboard specials for $12.50 and they know the numbers and times to expect. Fuel is available at the general store so two stroke riders will need to bring oil.
After lunch the groups will swap leaders and head out for the afternoon ride. For those that wish to pull the pin you can ride back 30km’s on a main dirt road back to the resort. If anyone has bike dramas there will be a vehicle to bring you and your bike back to the resort from Glenreagh.
The total days ride will be approx 110km’s.Saturday Night
Dinner for Saturday will be at the Darlington Camp Cook House as it was last year. It is a great place to have a party without us geting in anyone elses way. For this you will need to bring something to throw on the BBQ. The resort does make BBQ catering packs so even this can be sorted on the day. As most of you are in cabins though you have a fridge so bring some snags or steaks for the BBQ. I will supply bread, salads and condiments as I did last year so you don’t have to worry about the small stuff. I will bring paper plates and plastic knifes and forks so if you need something with more class then BYO it. There is a bottle shop up the road so you can stock up for this Saturday afternoon if you did not bring it with you. The Camp Cook House has fridges and I will bring some large eskies and ice.Sunday
Sunday morning you can order some breakfast off the cafe menu or eat whatever you bring. I am pretty sure I skipped that meal last year and even struggled to keep lunch down
At 9am I will lead a 3 hour ride for those still keen for more that will start and finish back at the resort so that those travelling can get away.
For those staying for the day it will be lunch at the Ponds Cafe at the resort and then the inaugural OBT surf afternoon followed by recovery drinks around the pool.Party People!

Bellingen EvJune 13, 2012 at 10:13 pm #223477I had planned to open the thread in August but due to the resort availability we have to move now or the cabins will book out.
I don’t need to know who is booking and I am not going to post a list up for a while yet but if you are keen for a cabin you will need to book soon. There are plenty of powered and unpowered camp sites so if you are happy to camp then no rush. For those that want the legendary comfort of a Darlington Beach Resort cabin then you need to act.
The weekend is November 24th and 25th so if you want to extend your stay just let them know when you book.
This will be the OBT Xmas party but for those that are bringing motorcycles with them I am sure you can find plenty of good riding in the adjacent country roads and forests. Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday morning would probably be good times to ride. You are all registered and licensed so it is up to you. We can talk about that when you are up here and I can point you in the right direction if you wish.
To book a cabin you need to call Rosie on 02 6640 7407 and let her know you are an Old Bull. You have to speak to Rosie so if she is not around just leave a message or try again later. The room rate has been arranged at 4 people per cabin and $100 a night. $25 a night is a brilliant deal for this place. Breakfast will also be organised on the Saturday morning but I will get the numbers for that later. It will be a full buffet for $16 per head.
There will be an organised adventure ride taking in the sites of the region on public roads that will be put together by Nickj and lead by Eagle and swept by a local with excellent knowledge so if you want to ride up and enjoy some of the North Coasts finest adventure riding you will be catered for.
Book soon or camp.STM

June 14, 2012 at 2:50 am #223479I think you should be careful scotty with having an officially organised breakfast. What would happen if somebody was to choke on their bacon. perhaps for legal reasons you should say that you will point them in the direction of the buffet. :silly:

Like a vampiric stalker of the night MC Chronic appears and dis-appears at will. Truly an enigma.
Mike has already booked our cabin up, sweet!
