I have put a route together for Steve to run a APC style full navigation shake down ride. You must have a GPS it is a navigation ride not a cornerman style ride. It will cover 1000kms in 2 days and is an adv style ride, the track is twin trail, fire trail, some dirt road and limited bitumen.
Below is the Adventure Moto news letter talking about the ride (Wolfy is Steve in another life  )
Wolfy and Clubby from Trail Zone Magazine
[http://www.trailzone.com.au/] are getting out on the weekend of
June 30/July 1 and peeling off a 1,000km two-day APC Rally pre
-ride to shake things down. The ride will start from Dural at 7am
on the Saturday morning, then bunk down at Hill End on Saturday
night, before returning to Dural late Sunday. The boys from the Old Bull Trailriders have plotted out a GPS
route of the two-day course and riders will be out there and
doing it for themselves. This WILL NOT be a guided ride with
lead or sweep riders, we all have to fend for ourselves. If
you’re in for the APC Rally and want to get out for a good ol’
shakedown then this ride is for you. The best part is that there
is no charge for joining the ride.Accomodation is available at Dural by calling Sydney Hills
Holiday Park [http://sydneyhillsholidaypark.com.au/] for those
of you starting from Dural. Check out the route here and we’ll
see you on the ride.June 14, 2012 at 8:26 pm #224151A Few questions Tb. The last sentence sort of implies you can see the route before you turn up. Is this right? If it is a self navigation ride and everybody starts at the same point then couldn’t you just follow someone with a gps (as long as you don’t lose them or they don’t get lost) or tend to travel as a group anyway. Do people start at intervals.
I reckon this could be fun but the 2T wouldn’t like 500km a day and neither would my rear end if I was on it.

Sorry for the slow response mate I had been away and missed the post
Yeah its a basic outline of the route mate not the exact route either as I am pre running that this weekend
Yes you could follow someone I guess. In the APC they may stop for fuel when you dont need to, meaning you will be waiting, you may have to stop and they dont and they will ride off and leave you
This one is starting from Dural, but if someone wanted to start at say Hillend they could start and finish there. I could send them the route, they could load it and away they go happy days
Here is the link here for the route
Yeah I reckon it will be a good ride, a great test and good tracks
