Well just a quick one as I’m knackered, a great day had by all met up at zig zag, about 9, riding began about 9.30, it was wet wet wet, puddles that you could swim in and one of us did, there was Myself, Krusty Nuts, Wolfie, Scotty and Steiner (who will do an intro shortly  ), we started out near the start of the main track and quickly ducked into some muddy wet twin trail pretty much followed the power lines down, a couple of testing hills to get the boys warmed up or initiated  , we got onto black fellows and rode half the single track down to the caves where we had a bit of a rest and where mr seppo was acting like a spoilt kid at christmas, saying he wanted to go back to the pines so off we wend ducking back into the singles and taking that back down to nearly the camp ground, some of the puddles would nearly take your bike in one gulp, but it was hell fun, we then found the pines for Krusty and had a play in their for a little while, we hit what seemed to be a swamp and turned back and found the singles again through the pines awesome fun. After that is was back down the main drag with a couple of turn offs for some singles/twin trails to the cars where sausages were cooked and eaten viraciously, a great day a few minor spills but no injuries or damage. Scotty was the only one I spotted with a camera so hopefully some pics coming soon.

    Cheers
    Chris.

I managed to secure a leave pass for this ride at the last minute. Met up with Wolfie and waited around in the cold for Chris, Krusty and Steiner to arrive. Clear sky’s and a chill in the air after a couple days of rain, perfect riding weather.
We gear up and Chris lead us out through some open single and twin track to the powerline trail. The hills on the powerline trail were slippery after the recent ran and caused carnage for some. We pulled out onto Blackfellows Hand Trail when Chris pointed to me to lead. I soon realised why Chris didn’t want to lead when I met up with some 4×4’s coming the opposite direction.

We made our ways into some single and into the back of Blackfellows cave. I was set the lead the group across the road into the Ben Bullen area until the seppo chucked a little tantrum about the pine forest singles. Back up Blackfellows and into more single. The singles along here held plenty of water but where fun and flowing.

We headed into the pine forest where Chris led us down into some swamp. I almost expected to see some buck toothed redneck buzzing along the swamp on one of those fan boats.

We found our way around some flowing pine singles before making our way back to the car, via a rocky, rutted, eroded, boghole strewn trail Krusty led us along. Sounds bad but was actually a cool little trail that I will put in the memory bank.
All up a great day out.

I got a couple of vids but have uploaded in a low quality format because I couldn’t be bothered waiting all night for HD uploads.

sure can wolfie, one thing I’ve never done at clarence is camped the night so I might try and organise that, when it gets warmer. there will be plenty more sunday morning rides before that though, we’ll do some harder stuff next time that was an easy ride

I was sent a secret photo from an unnamed source of Krusty’s response when they first made the choice to not do the pine singles

Id be keen for a camp out up there when its a little warmer. I have all of September off work. Will be in Fiji the first two weeks but late September the weather is starting to come good.

I might even head back up there this Sunday for a bit of a reci ride to look for some new singles for a ride I have planned with some of the guys from work next month. The better half is away this weekend and I have a work drinks night on Saturday night so i’m not locking anything in as it will depend how I pull up  , (If I even make it home).
