    G’day Lads;
Since the Bultaco was too nice to get dirty, I carried out my threat and added a couple of old gems to the stable.
I just aquired a 1981 Honda XL 500s, a bit of a rough diamond and a 1982 Suzuki PE 175 full floater which is just about perfect.
I should have them both ready for rego/riding in a couple of weeks and am looking forward to my first outing with the Old Bulls.
I will upload some photo’s asap.
    PS
Does anyone know who can dedent steel bike tanks?
I also need a wiring diagram for the XL, if anyone can help?
    Cheers.

Get them pics up ASAP Gazza, I’d love to see the old PE out there smoking up the trails.

I’m pretty sure Honda still support the old xl’s on our service tech DVD at the shop. Should be able to fax or email you a wiring diagram, I’d have to check if it’s on there. Can you email me the frame number and a list if what you want and I will see if I can help.
Oh and I was organizing our lever (clutch and brake) perch brackets the other day and I’m sure I have a heap of brake and clutch brackets for those old girls. Do you want some spares, I’d do them at half price?

Cool pickup, I inherited my dads 1979 XL500S 32000k’s original everything.
Also have a full workshop manual if you can’t find something, it’s like rocking horse shit

    Thanks for the feedback guys.
I’ll get those pics up ASAP and thanks for the wiring diagram, micknmeld, I appreciate it.
Yeah rockdog I could use a set of cables as well, let me know what you can get and how much.
I got the Xl fired up yesterday and it sounds awesome, no smoke and no rattles, one kick when warm and she idles like and old thumper should!
    The PE goes like new.

That’s very cool … reminds me of my cousins garage in Bendigo when I was a kid, pretty sure he had one of these and a Montesa.

You should get yourself along to this ride
