Well for a while now I’ve been asking questions on various topics – helmets – intercoms – tyre pressures and reading some interesting tales.

So before I forget … a big thankyou to everyone who has replied to my posts.

So now, on the 4th August it’s our turn.

This trip has been over 12 months in the making.

On an earlier post I loaded some pics of the DR’s from go to now. Compared to some I haven’t done much riding, however I have to say how happy I am with the DR’s – they are a fabulous bike to ride.

Now to the trip ….

Brisbane – Augathella – Longreach – Richmond – Mt Isa – Tennant Creek (tyre change) – Daly Waters – (via Buchanan H’way) around Lake Argyle to Halls Creek …. phew …. Wolfe Crater – down the Tanami – bypass Alice (for now) – Kings Canyon – Ayres Rock – Alice Springs (tyre change for rear tyre) … another breather … Santa Teresa – Anado – Mount Dare – Dalhousie … now for hard bit … Simpsons Desert – Poeppel’s Corner — B I G R E D — Birdsville (a couple of beers @ the pub) – Innaminka – Thargominda – Cunnamulla – Bollan – Dirribandi – Lightning Ridge (our favorite place to rest) – Mungindi – Goondiwindi – Brisbane.

More to follow … I plan to post via my trusty iphone … I’ll try out the photobucket app and hopefully have no problems.
