I have owned the Liquid Image Impact goggles with built in camera for 12 months now and the same company has just released a new camera called the EGO HD it looks like it’s aimed at competing with the Go Pro HD being similar size and with a range of mounting options recording in 1080 hd . I really like the idea of using the wireless function to view videos on a smart phone to see if you’ve caught the action you wanted !!
They have just been realeased in the US and are retailing at under $180us so we should see them in Australia very soon :woohoo:

August 10, 2012 at 12:52 pm #227201Finally a camera with different colours than silver, should make the easier to find should they come off the helmet in the bush. they sound cheap enough to, and I do like the wi fi setup.

Already downloaded to app for WiFi control/viewing etc .. will be a while before I can upload any action Vid’s from it though (you all know the story), unless my garage and back yard are of interest
, or maybe the streets of Redfern
Thanks Nickj for the original post, I was looking for an alternative to a GoPro stuck to the top of my noggin’
(my photo’s on the stainless bench top are lousy, sorry)
August 14, 2012 at 9:33 pm #227784Get out there and do some “urban-enduro”, one day I am going to go for a hot lap around inner Sydney, might have to borrow someone elses number plate though.

Nice one Razzle , look forward to seeing some footage , how about some free running around the Redfern sights to give us an idea of quality if the bikes a no go at the moment
They do look like a good alternative to the GoPro , did you get a mounting kit ?

August 14, 2012 at 10:14 pm #227786Looks like A is the same or close enough mount as a Go Pro Razzle
B & C are the mounts that came with it are they? A sticky and a velcro band mount. If they have limited mount options sing out and I will send you a Go-Pro one to try because mate the look the same

A: that’s interesting, so maybe?
B and C: yep, they came with it, a mount base with a sticky on it and a spare sticky … no velcro band mount or strap or anything. Its’ really tiny (already said that) so mounting it will be dead easy
August 14, 2012 at 11:20 pm #227794Mounting them is easy Razz, it’s getting them lined up just right that can be the tricky bit.
They look pretty cool, it will be good to see some footage from it.
Price is good too, if it’s a contender it might bring the price of some of the others down.PTW

That’s everything it cam with Nick, the small tripod and the flat-mout plate with two stickies for it. It’s small enough and light enough to be creative with mounting it I reckon … we’ll see, plus TB mentioned that the mounts look the same as the Go-Pro which might open up lots more options.
