GaryOctober 21, 2012 at 1:31 am #230991I can’t commit just yet , swimbo is in North Qld at the moment , gotta wait till she Ok’s the leave pass  , I won’t do it if it’s gunna be real hot either , I rode yesterday and was dehydrated by 11 am  .
Gazza , the pines are at the junction of Watagan forest Rd and Wollombi Forest rd according to Google maps . I know the Watagan forest rd is correct , dunno if you’ll find Wollombi Forest rd on any official forest map though . IIRC the sign post at the Junction says it’s Walkers ridge Rd .
October 21, 2012 at 11:40 pm #230992Hey Murph & Tim.,
I can’t make this ride on Saturday sorry guys.
Your Basin loop is a great ride.
Have a good one and Happy Birthday Tim.
Thrillseeker.
October 22, 2012 at 12:57 am #231115According to my toppo map it is at the junction of Watagan forest rd and Wollombi forest rd.
Can’t miss it, its a large camping area with pines at the northern end where we hope to be parked
Hoping on some rain through the week to settle the dustNo worries Thrillseeker, we’ll catch up again soon, mate.
I have put Oldfatbeerman and Gazz55 on the list in pencil
Cheers
MurphOctober 22, 2012 at 10:42 am #230993Hi there, i would like to do this ride if thats ok, i am no gun at all just a weekend warrior, i just bought a 2011 KTM 300exc do you think the 11.5 ltr tank will be ok for this ride as i have never owned a 2T so unsure on fuel consumption.

ChrisOctober 23, 2012 at 9:37 pm #231185Welcome aboard, Westy82
Yes, your tank should be big enough
From memory its only about 70kms, maybe a bit more if you do the gnarly hills towards the end.
I’ll put you on the list
Cheers
