had a great cpl days ,it started on friday for me having a hissy fit with my eldest 1 who wouldnt get ready for school  👿 which in the end we missed the school bus so i had to finish packing asap to run them in as its just over 30kms to school.
Once in town did every thing that had to be done with a few extra probs arising aswell ,i wasnt in the mood to be going, i headed off to meet up with galey hoping my luck would change ,we finished loading up his gear and we were under way for a great weekend ,after arriving setting up camp getting some wood we were on the bikes by around 4 ,within the first 2 ks i had dropped the bike 3 times my head wasnt there ,finally with all my earlier problems being drop on the trail 3 times b4 i was starting to enjoy myself,by now we were trying some differant trails.
I was starting to smile and having a blast when galey up the anti on me and got me doing some harder stuff which didnt worry me so much as i was managering ok till we pulled up at a section which was something i wouldnt had tryed, anyway im here to learn and im not going to improve if i dont have a go so with advice listened to, i was under way to may surprise i made it through and without damage :cheer: :woohoo: i was on a high but puffing , so once i got my breath back we were off to find more challageing tracks which we did find and some very nice furnery spots ,with a few more singles done we headed back towards camp and i was thinking to myself i wouldnt mind having a go at a bit of stuff i didnt do last thursday as i wernt conferdent enough ,sure enough b4 i new it i was at that section ,galey asked if i wanted to have a go ,sure why not i was thinking of asking if we could come past so i could have a go , so got ready and did it no problems :cheer: :woohoo: .
On the way back galey looked at the rock hill hollis, grabram did in the clip and made the decission to have a so i got the gopro and he was off ,just making it to the top there were cheers back down and try again and again to the top and down safely and a huge smile :cheer: :cheer: .
back at camp around 6.30 we settled down to wait for some of the others to arrive that was the start of a great weekend

Top weekend guys. Wish l could have stayed for the Sunday ride but had to get back for family commitments.

Thanks Galey for hosting the ride and Mr Rules for leading Mick, Rocket & myself on a AWESOME 90km / 7.5hr loop. :) :( :P    👿 :pinch:

Didn’t get time to take many photos but got the one that counts

A KTM broken down with a punched radiator.

luckily we repair the radiators with some Metal Magic and long nose pliers. Worked 100%. It also gave us a well deserved rest

Firstly, a big thanks you to Galey for organising this weekend and for bringing his BBQ. Great bunch of blokes and sheila’s too (see photos fron Sunday, sorry Bob).

    Saturday G4 Ride
On the ride we had Thrillseeker, White Rocket, Mick25 and myself. We left the camp area at around 9am, did the Newnes SF side. We stopped for Lunch after 30Km at Birds Rock lookout at around 12:30. All up we did 92Kms (mostly all single track) and got back to camp just after 3pm. We covered the following trails

Mary’s, The Log Run, Spanish Steps, The Pub Run, Relic Track, The secret Track, past the air strip, The Bomber Run and Babylon.

Everybody ran out of water at around 2pm and Ben ran out of petrol with about 1Km to go. It’s was hot and dusty, but fast and furious. Holed my radiator on the bomber run, after a few tweaks with the pliers and thanks to Ben for the metal putty, it was all sorted and I finished the weekend with a repaired radiator.
