My 10,000th post

Most people would think, that someone who has 10,000 posts on a forum, really needs to get a life! So now, at the moment where my post count clicks up to 10,000, I would like to say a few words, if you will humour me for a moment.

Over the last four and a half years, OBT has become a big part of my life much to the disgust of my dear wife at times, very rarely does a day go by where I don’t check in on OBT to catch up with what the crazies on here are up too.

I have met some fantastic people and ridden in some great places, both wouldn’t have happened without me being a part of OBT.

I have seen some funny stuff and spent some funny times sharing a beer with people I wouldn’t have met otherwise. That is the beauty of the community that we have created here at OBT. Putting like minded people together for some good times, has been one of the highlights of being a part of the admin team that runs this web site.

When TB and Chris first fired up OBT, we were rank amateurs at running an online forum and we have learnt some valuable lessons along the way. The trouble with the written word, probably being one of the biggest lessons we had to take on board.
Running a website with so many different personalities contributing isn’t an exact science and from time to time shit will hit the fan due to someone misinterpreting what someone else has written.

A few other mistakes come to mind but we have learnt from those and moved forward, all with an end result of OBT getting bigger and better as time has gone on.

Anyhow in finishing, I would like to thank everyone that contributes to the site, the rides and the good time we have.

A special thanks to TB and Chris for all the behind the scenes work and I hope that OBT can keep on keeping on, for a long time to come.

You two guys should be proud of what OBT has become.
