g’day guys been doing up the bike slowly but surely, after giving the bike a good tub up i noticed the front rotor on the 450x is cracking between the drilled holes, and its not like theres just 1 crack, at least 7! so now im looking into upgrading the rotors

i dont know what brand to get ! i found this set on ebay and found minimal reviews on them but the ones i did find they seemed pretty happy

anyone had any experience with them ?

    any advice would be great

I bought 2 new Braking brand rotors for my KTM 300 12 months ago and had no troubles with them. Great feel at the lever and quality items.

Hey mate I bought an Artrax oversized full floating front rotor from Sutto’s about 12mths ago and it is still going strong. It came complete with bracket to mount caliper at a reasonable price. Just finished the longest day ride and and all good using Braking sintered pads.

    Cheers,
    Lefty ;)

Maybe able to recalibrate the speedo. Most electronic ones I have had anything to do with have been able to have the pulse count changed

the only calibration i know of TB is for the outside diamitar of the front wheel, been thinking about it a fair bit and i may have an idea on how to get around this problem, i should be able to mount the sensor on the adaptor plate and that will get me out of trouble hopefully

    once again cheers guys

No probs mate the oversize disc you want is 270mm for Enduro/Trail or 320 for Motard. They are chinese but work well.

I put an EBC oversize on my XR650 and its been good as well (bit more exspensive tho)

The EBC will out last the chinese 3 to 1 everyday of the week. If you do lots of riding and consider yourself a hard braker buy a known better brand worth it in the long run, like cheap pads

dont get me started on cheap brake pads ! made that mistake once and never again !

will look in EBC as well

another question now that i think about it, the adaptor plates for the over sized rotors, are they the same between the crf450 R and X ? like will a R plate fit on a X ? just curious im trying to do the research myself and its doing my head in

Nick of Tekniks fame will know the answer to that. I reckon they are 100% but he will know for sure
He maybe a big quiet for the next few days being that it is Christmas bit I am sure he will chime in
