    Last ride for 2012 Sunday 30th December

    Left home 7.30am and rode to Tallwoods water Tank where I was to meet up with Fordy.

    Fordy arrive and we set off to meet up with a few more guys across the Highway. As we pulled into the meeting spot they also arrived. Intros were done and away we went to meet with Bluey further in the bush.

    A quick warm up thru some open singles and we found Bluey waiting. So of we went Fordy, Graham, Doug, Bluey and I. Bluey was sweep and the pace was good. We settled into some nice open singles the get the blood flowing.

    Fordy then lead us into some tighter singles and thur some mud holes left by the four wheelers. Some deep ruts and tricky sections to keep us on our toes.

    The first challenge of the day and the most difficult was fence line hill a tricky rutted hill with not to many good lines. :woohoo:

    Fordy went of first followed by bluely, me and graham. Fordy, graham and I made it up but bluey turned back. I had a few rests on the way up :whistle: as the video shows but it was fun :woohoo: :woohoo:

    looks like a decent sort of hill was hoping to go for last ride of year also but wife working with ses today helping with organizing fireworks left me with the kids

    After the hill climb we headed for the valley of fallen trees. :ohmy:

    This valley was hit by a storm and hundreds of trees fell over the track. :(

    But some nice guy who must ride a bike had cut all the trees in the way just wide enough for a bike to get thru :woohoo: :woohoo:

    Its a great ride and then a good tight hill climb to finish the loop.

    Was a good day out and great ride what a way to finish the year which was a mixed bag for me .

    Cracker KD, what a hill good job on getting up there mate ;) Like Adam says wait until you rocket up there one day how good will that be :woohoo:

    when i stop i normally go back down tha hill and try again……. :dry: :unsure: maybe i’m a pussy :P
    good demonstration of hill starts cause they are quite tricky to do :P ;)

    watched the 2nd vid and I reckon them trails r cool…… some one done a lot of work chopin fallen trees and hats off 2 them. :cheer:

    I was going strong on the hill had the crf dancing on the rutts :woohoo: :woohoo:

    Then my skill level had a reality check and I crashed. :angry: :angry: ( I think Fordy got in my way)

    But so much better picking up the crf than the drz :) :)

    Some nice looking trails there kevdog :)

    Going to get up that way for a holiday this year, might have to make it around a ride day ;)
