Hi All,
I really struggle riding in the heat but i have recently found these “cool vests”. http://www.quantumchill.com.au/index.html
Has anyone else tried them or another brand?
I will be getting one once I’m back from holidays.

They definitely work but it does restrict what else you can wear. If you wear pressure suit style armour they won’t go together but will with a roost guard. i did well over 100k’s yesterday on one of the hottest days of the year and felt fine all day so I doubt I will ever use it. You are welcome to have mine for the cost of postage if it will fit you.Cheers

I have worn my cool vest under my pressure suit armour and it works great maybe even a little to well when starting out STM :huh: Have you tried it? It feels weird but works
I didn’t take it with me today :blush: , did 660kms and it was the hottest conditions I have ever in my 44 years ridden a bike. Out at Woodstock and Wyangla it was too hot to ride. Hosed myself down at the pub in my gear, was good for 15mins, drank 9litres of water (filled and emptied my camelback 3 times), 3 powerades, 1 V and two lemon lime and bitters todayTB

I can see how a cool vest would be good on longer days though :whistle:
Hi Guys,
As promised I said I wuold let you know how I went with the vest.
First ride last weekend, quite hot and humid on the south coast NSW.I rode the same tracks as last time, about the same temp, maybe a fraction hotter.
The vest seemed to work ok, not like riding in an air conditioned room but a definate improvment.
I kepped topping it up by taking it off and pouring cold water on it every time we stopped, 3 times in 8 hours, and i could notice the difference when I put it back on straight away.I still got hot on some nasty singles when I was struggling (short legs, no talent) but it was definately better than last time and I cooled off alot quicker once I got going again.
I would recommend one for anyone who suffers in the heat like I do, it only cost $80 and I cant see it wearing out in a hurry.

Hey TR love your review above there mate. I really like an honest punters view, if you get a minute you maybe able to do a little cutting and pasting come up with a picture and do a quick post in the product review forum.
