Woke to the sound of rain on the roof
And it stuck around for most of the morning
Stuart arrived early and CJ spot on time
We headed for our local tracks with the first creek up over the bridge we had made
All good though and we carried on through our log track (bloody slippery) and on to the train tunnel
I waded in and was surprised that it was passable but only just
More singles then a big bypass at a very swollen creek. Up Amazon, which was not on our list to do hills but there is just no stopping the young blokes.
Helped Stuart a little but it was a galiant effort he put in for a first accent especially in the conditions
CJ managed to get a rear flat and at the top of the mountain we went about fixing it.
We then rode down to Bangalow where Tim and CJ had a go at a hill that has eluded us for years. Great job getting to the top of that one, Tim and yes he was pretty chuffed.
Back through plenty of water to Freemans and a feed and fuel.
K9 in reverse + the new singles where we had to ride up a creek, then a big creek crossing under the freeway and some more singles.
Yet another detour because of a swollen creek (waded in over my gut) and home just after 5 o’clock, 115kms
    Great day out
Big thanks to Stuart and CJ for coming along in such conditions but I’m sure ya’s agree that it was an awesome day out
    Pics to come
    Cheers
    Murph

Ah the memories of the water come “flooding” back.
Wet Amazon, now that would make things interesting….

Thanks Murph for the great ride.Felt as if i was on an ice rink all day.
I,m sure you got more pics of me not on the bike,or lying on the ground( thanks for not further embarrasing me).
A big thanks to Tim and CJ for helping me out of a couple of tight situations, especiaaly getting the bike to the side of that hill where i was able to bash it up to the top.
I wouldnt of been able to get it there myself and if the bike had of slid back down to the bottom,i dare say it would still be there today waiting for everything to dry out to get out of that creek bed.
Would love to do it all again in the DRY,if you guys would have me again.
All in all a top day and much appreciated,

    Cheers :)
