Hi craig, I finde that most 2t’s are the same”no doubt some will disagree” The Rmx used to like a 40-1mix,,they’l tell you 33-1 is the go ,but I found that it ran better and blew less smoke on 40 and still had plenty of lube. That motor had done over 5000 and went as good as new.
I tryed a few brands of oil and found that the “Castrol Active 2t”was a good oil at a ok price,at about $13.00 a ltr. I tryed the expensive stuff like Motul at like $22.oo a ltr and found it was no diference,The motor ran as good as on the Castol Active.
I did try some cheeper stuff and found the the bike didn’t like it at all,so I stuck with the Castrol at 40-1.
    hope this helps.
    Cheers Teza.

i do use a dearer oil motul 800, i dont use it because it makes it go any better, just for engine life used it in my ktm 300 , cr 250,current ktm 250 sx and all the boys ktm 50s one being an 08 model with the same motor thats in your husky now and the current one being a 2011 sx 50 and run them all at 50 :1 everytime i pulled them down the bores and engine components were very good compared to hours on motor

I agree with huskybloke. I run my gg at 50:1 and it is more than enough lube. If husky recommend it go with it. I use gro (global racing oils) but only because it smells so good haha. By running more oil then necessary it will clog ur exhaust packing quicker and drool oil when its not necessarily needed. Not to mention it is just wasting oil and if they are like me all those years ago when I was young haha they will burn heaps of it.
