April 15, 2013 at 5:47 am #239713Not good for the rest of the Aussie Enduro Title defence either :pinch:
Not to mention the fast approaching FINKE :unsure:I`m sure he will recover (as Grabbo did) he is tougher that nails that bloke ,,,
April 17, 2013 at 10:30 am #239714Crap. He will be out for ages!! He is just lucky to be alive by the sounds of it. Is there any footage?
April 18, 2013 at 8:14 am #239715Surgery was today apparently
Scary going under the knife in a foreign country too (US have a poorer health system than ours I think) :unsure:Remains to be seen how much of his costs will be covered , he wasn`t riding for KTM Aus was he ????
All the best to him for sure !!!

Always a worry when travelling abroard for sure
Fingers crossed for the big fellaApril 18, 2013 at 8:38 am #239717Better to get on a plane and get home, if the insurer backs out or finds a loophole he’ll be in the hole 100K or more.
April 18, 2013 at 8:49 am #239718Yeah,
That`s what Andy Lloyd (Newy local) did after his bad off at the ISDE in Portugal :pinch:

April 19, 2013 at 8:44 am #239720That looks shocking, must be driving him nuts wanting to get the surgery done. Would be a nightmare plane trip, and possibly too much risk to travel. Remember Shane watts op was 110k from memory. Hope all goes well and insurance gets sorted.
April 24, 2013 at 8:21 am #239721SO, Toby was airlifted back home to have surgery in Brisbane tomorrow.
Reportedly his insurance company backed out and he was up for over $300k in the US for the op    :pinch:Must be so frustrating for both him and his supportive family.
Hope all goes well for him now
Kind of makes you think,,
What kind of coverage would we have normally at in Aus doing what we do ????April 24, 2013 at 8:27 am #240338EAGLE`02 wrote:SO, Toby was airlifted back home to have surgery in Brisbane tomorrow.

What kind of coverage would we have normally at in Aus doing what we do ????Fortunately we have Medicare! If the shit hits the fan they will fix you first and ask questions later unlike the US.
