First run of the big Nundle singles loop today with six riders fronting up, Boony out with a lack of testicles and Bollocks couldnt drag himself out from his camp site under the Peel river bridge. All up the loop will be 90-100 km from base camp out through the singles and back to camp. After general discussion from todays riders we have left in a couple of short twin trail sections to allow everyone to catch their breath and cool down. The new sections we cut in are very nice although in severe need of some traffic to cut them in, the dry weather here means theres hardly any tracks being left from the bikes.
Given the incredibly fine weather and the fact that he was carrying oxygeon Damus decided to attempt to summit mount Bollocks as we were going past it. In an incredible display of mountain climbing the old bugger reached the top becoming the first person to mount Bollocks. He did want it pointed out that he went up the front way leaving the much easier back door approach for some adventure rider to try. To honour King Bollocks and the fact he will be dumping us for the Nundle ride to go and be camp with house, a full size image of the great one will be placed at the summit if we can get damus to go up again.
All in all a dusty (so the boys tell me as it was fine out front) but excellent ride that I dont believe will dissapoint lovers of single trail. No photos though as Polly was too tired from riding Bulladelah yesterday to bother carrying a camera today.
