Our friend Clubby at TrailZone just put this up on FB
What do you make off it?
American Honda just posted a YouTube clip on one of its web sites that has plenty of people guessing. The video shows footage from a camera mounted on the swingarm of a dirt bike and looking backwards past the rear sprocket as the bike is ridden around a motocross track. Now, what’s interesting, is the sound … it almost sounds like this bike doesn’t shift (in a conventional dirt bike kind of way) and it sounds like it might have more than one cylinder, as it revs to the moon. What is it? Good question! And as of right now, Honda isn’t telling: the video ends with a teaser to check back on May 14 … maybe then all will be revealed?
Have a view and see if you can pick it:
The engine sure does scream! :woohoo: and you’re right, the “shifts” don’t sound like they’re done by a traditional gear-shift lever …. dunno?? But sh*t it hauls!!
I’ll be checking on the 14th/15th! It’s got me intrigued
Is that possible?? (i’m no mechanic, by any stretch of the imagination) … how awesome would that be! :woohoo: No arguments if there was “middle ground” !
