Since daylight savings finished and the sun has been lower in the sky I have noticed for the first time ever that the dappled lights on the trails is giving me a bit of a vision problem. It hasn’t happened before but when the sun is flickering through the tree canopy I’m finding it hard to see obstacles like ruts , rocks and roots. My eyesight is very good and I don’t wear glasses I just put it down to riding faster than ever before :D ( yeah right !!!!)
Spud is always quicker than me along a trail but a few weeks ago I noticed the afternoon light slowing me down but not him and asked him why ?? I think he replied ‘ I was f#^*kn on it mate and didn’t give a f%#* but these goggle lenses are the sh*# ‘ !!!
After getting a bit more info I bought a set of ProGrip goggles with the Light Blue High Definition lens.

I went out for a quick lap today at 3pm and had a lot of fun mixing up my grass track and my home singles. Then I realized I wasn’t noticing the dappled light ?? I took off my goggles for a west facing uphill and struggled to see but with goggles , no worries !!!

Spud was spot on with his choice of lens and it works great for me B)

    Thanks mate !!

I’ve run a light amber colour for 15 years or so and find they make things appear brighter than they are, can’t remember any drama with shadows etc, but I’ll try and remember to pay attention on the next ride and see what it looks like.

    Thanks for the tip!

I’ve used the amber safety glasses in the wet Jtb and they work really well , I’m sure the amber lens would be the business too ;)

I have used the amber before, for me they brighten things up but also tend to make them blend into each other a bit.
Last time used them I hit a few things that I didn’t even see.
Will have to try some of the blue ones.
