A group of riders from QLD headed off on Friday 5th July for 4 days of adventure and mayhem into NSW.
Eight riders on mostly thumpers rode via Urbenville – first night in Glenn Inness, 2nd night Dorrigo and 3rd night Gingers Crk.
Highlights included sliding around in the dark and a night river crossing leading into Dorrigo, the Oxley highway twists to Gingers Crk in the dark on knobbies, and minus 4 degree mornings.
One of the absolute standouts being starting the Kangaroo Flat Rd off the Oxley highway, and emerging 200 k’s and 7 hours later at Rollins Plains after some really memorable riding through fantastic country.
Nice to be able to report all riders arrived home well, bikes intact ( or mostly ) and grins all around.
2 of us extended the ride into a 5th day as we just could not stop the fun.
Around 2000 klm’s mostly dirt, forest roads, tracks and walking trails, and happy to report the Tenere 660 never missed a beat, I love this bike, it delivers all I want from it.
The new Wolfman Expedition panniers are fantastic , now for new pipes to shed a few kilos and gain a few horses … any recommendations from OB members on the pipes?
See you out and about on the trails.
regards to all members.
