so i did nundle solo yesterday ,last minute decision was made to go on saturday arvo,,,With the fine weather we are having how could i not, people were busy with the short notice and had made other plans, i think many were up at north star this weekend im sure there was a ride up there … must have been as the forest was quiet not many people around at all…there were a few fresh tracks from the day before but not many where i was riding…

the day started from the main house side of the farm, had to go through 4 or 5 gates but once out the back of the farm they thin out, i had a good run across a very low peel river, out to the road past the unloading point we used a couple of rides ago.. Nundle had a light frost last night so the ground was slippery in places.. once out of the farm it was the normal route up into the forest yes people i fell off on that first hill , the recovery was better than expected, but hey ive been riding for 6months so its quite common for me to be making silly mistakes…(no damus-or buzz to help out today ha ha ha)” i will use more revs next time time buzz and better clutch control damus” lol i can already here you yelling at me you tube video…… 😆 😆
Into the forest i go i was looking to put a single in but the place i was wanting to was full of fallen trees very thick and i would be better of with a chainsaw or a D7.. maybe another day when i have a bit more time. so i continued on.. like the trooper i am…. i was going to extend myride and just get lost in the wilderness,, sounded like a good plan to me.. :cheer:

off i went along the creek ran into skippy here… skip wanted to race so i agreed gave it a shot and nearly missed a corner chasing skip lol…skip won…. i went into some singles the old bulls made then up that slipper hill that every one loves you all know what one.. i pulled up to take my deep beath and saw that the bottom of the hill was frosty (F$%& this is goin to be fun) so off i go and well suprise suprise i pulled it off…. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Exploring was fun i got a bit lost but found my way again. it then dawned on me that the area i was in was just begging for a single… so off i went can of yellow paint in hand found a good log to go over but seemed a bit too hard for my riding capabilities maybe bollocks could show me how to do it, though the moss might not help either.. i did find a sook route around it which is still fun …first single done….. What now … ANOTHER yes i did 2

So more trees copped my yellow paint on them and a can of paint later we now have two new singles to cut in. and low and behold it should connect up to a well known track that you all know. i hope you all enjoy these new tracks i have made i had a ball doing it, just me an old wr250 and the bush what else could you want on a great day like we had today…

I found that these singles right at the end have phone reception.. as the dog and bone was going off like a frog in a sock in the back pack… time to come home i was told…. so after a quick lap of the singles off i went back tracking back to verden rd. once there i was so tempted to have a crack of the steps, it was an intention today after last weekends crappy atempt, but had to pass….I then main roaded back to the front gate of the farm once back the welcoming party consisted of one lazy pig dog as every one had skipped the house and went to town for the day!!!!! thats me nundle solo report

The new single looks great Andy :cheer:

Sorry I could not make it yesterday, I had family commitments….I am not such a big fan of riding on my/your own. I had a big off last year riding by myself and was REALLY lucky I was only marginally hurt. I was a fair way from help and was lucky I could ride out (although still in a fair bit of pain) :pinch: :pinch:

You still keen for a Nundle run next Sunday? ;)
