Hi all
Just a short note to let members & quests know that there are groups of trail riders about that still have a great time trail riding in ones senior years. Myself and 4 other 60 + year old riders and 2 X 40 ish “juniors” just completed a 215 Km bike ride (165 on dirt & trails) in the far south coast area of NSW (Bega area) today.
We completed the ride in about 6 Hrs including stops and had a ball. I can’t express in words how good it is to still be able to ride fairly quickly (for one’s age) over various slipper creeks, steep hills, rocks, flowing gravel trails etc and at the end of the day have the “youngster” say that they had a ball riding with blokes old enough to be their fathers.
We have some of the best least used trails and tracks in this area compared to what I see on videos that you central & northern NSW blokes have to ride. If any members are down Bega way and want some trail ride advice then please contact me.
I have ridden at 3000 km of trail and tracks over the past 40 years within 100 km from my base and I can direct riders to the best locations for total enjoyment.
Cheers

RossSounds good Ross,
Post up a ride date and location in the ‘Gatherings’ thread and I am sure you will have plenty of keen riders to join you. That is the OBT spirit. You share your trails and there are always others willing to do the same.

RossOctober 27, 2013 at 9:25 am #251069Hi LC4skin
The Razorback Trail west of Cobargo and areas north west to the Tuross can be a bit challenging at times but are really good (if not a little dry at the moment) rides. We did some of those tracks 2 months ago just after the trails had been upgraded and they were a real blast -
