I’ve owned as standard one myself, and i have had the fortunate opportunity to ride a Peter Cambell built ex-Len Norris YZ250 on methanol, a proper 2 st is sure hard to beat for thrills :woohoo:October 29, 2013 at 10:10 am #251159October 29, 2013 at 10:16 am #251160Hands down the best build thread ever, not just your content but your style

during my roasdriding and giving up the smokes period I had porked on a few pounds… say around 50 or so……
and stripped some other stuff off added a new light
and a custom gearlever for my hoofs
October 29, 2013 at 10:43 am #251166unfortunately there were some glitches, the head design was not compatible with our Bass strait wateroil, and the compression was over 1750kpa, a 270 lb man standing on it barely moved the kicker, it was not a practical bike, even though it ran and sounded tough as. so the head was pulled and sent to Dave at TSP for major surgery, Dave did well on the first one outside of ther USA with no specs except those we came up with.
so the head returned looking like a naturalised fair dinks Aussie.
custom gearlever and LED headlight are last touch along with some stripping unnecessary bits from regoso Frankenbike is birthed. an original 2003 Adr’d YZ250wr built originally by YZ engineering, now a hybrid
YZ325 (little bit of TRX 300 DNA) true WR, automatic, dual rear brake controlled, weighing in under 100kilos without fuel.October 29, 2013 at 10:46 am #251168Let forth the Frankenbike, gentle as a lamb, exactly what I envisaged and was after….

October 29, 2013 at 11:58 am #251151Wow that build is incredible and the front on shot makes it look like a predator for sure.
but if it does collapse under its own gravity or go supernova. You have a back up with a 98 WR 250 for sale at bikes and bits. But seriously well done. ! Would love to see it in the flesh in action one day.
