    Just joined up. I have been riding for around 30+ years, firstly on dirt bikes and then road bikes. I sold my road bike last year and have got back into dirt bikes so I could go riding with my son (DRZ 400 E) My current ride is a 2005 KTM 640 adv. with a few mods. I have travelled quite a lot all over Australia from coast to coast as we have been running the COMMS for the NSW & Newcastle Variety Bash for the past 12 years, mostly from the comfort of a Toyota 4wd. I have a fairly good knowledge of mapping and GPS tracking so may be able to share info. Looking forward to some organised rides but nothing too challenging at first.

    There are a few father and son teams on this site, me included. :woohoo:
    You come from a great place, we are on the west side of the lake and about 100m from the bush

    G’day Greg , Welcome .

    I am on the lake too , North Eastern side near the Cafe strip .

    Good bikes the 640 Adv , I had one for 2 years and 50’000 km . Miss it at times .

    Hi Murph & Allan
    We are out at West Wallsend and back onto the bush that leads into Mt Sugarloaf & beyond, the F3 (M1) and other link roads and bypass roads have stuffed access to some areas but I spose that’s progress.

    Hi, just joined the forum from Maitland. Still finding my feet on a KLR so if you’re heading out for some easier rides then let me know.
