Sunday saw 12 of us gather to ride the hills of gold only to have the ride develop into a tour de flat with four flat tyres suffered before we even got half way through the ride. Conditions were less than prime being very dry and all the normal trails were showing loose rocks where we had never seen them. Traction was at a premium as the loose rocks either simply rolled around under you or smashed the tyres and resulted in more than a few spectacular get offs. Despite the conditions and flats it was a great run following Boony out to an even greater lunch break as usual at the Berry Patch. I was leading home from there until some shit riding and even worse judgement convinced me that the best way out of a four wheel drive rut was to gas it….. result spectacular get off and a broken gear lever made worse by the fact I had left the spare lever at home. Boony led everyone home while I followed the main road back. The ride was topped off by some bench racing at the Dungowan pub. Ronnie and Cris have videos which will no doubt appear. great day thanks to the blokes we ride with.

Wow what a ride. I think we’ve had it too easy for too long. Never seen a flat tyre on any of our rides until now. A few get offs, I seen 1 go over the hangers, 1 washed out on a right hand bend, then the best of all was Mr Squiggle’s hump took out another rider landing hard on this shoulder then me & 4/5 riders nearly running him over in the all the dust he stirred up.

The best part for me was running back creek hunting down Boony. No camera but would of made some good footage.

Andy & Luke had the cameras, post em up boys

Great ride, bit bloody dry up there. The group was excellent to lead. Bring on some rain before we head up there again.

It was another great ride led by Boony and Snowy.. Good feed and all that too… Apart from all the flats we got… :( :( :( I had one to…. But I came prepared and got my personal wheel changer (BUZZ) to put my ultra heavy 21″ tube in the rear tyre :cheer: :cheer: That was a great help there. I think the boys enjoyed watching tO… It was VERY much appreciated mate for the effort you went to with out even having to be asked..

My videos are crap on this ride bad lighting I think the camera was pointed a little high.. Might get rid of the Ion Air Pro (its crap.) It may be time for a Drift Ghost-S…

I had a ride on the SHERCO 300 4T what a bike that is. It’s on the Christmas wish list… I have some footage of me dropping it sorry Matt..

Dont worry about dropping it mate plastics are cheap even genuine from a small manufacturer.

I also got a photo of you as you left on it, I see what you mean bad lighting you came out very dark in the photo.

Sorry about the delay but my footage from sundays ride took a bit longer to upload than expected. This is just a normal ride up at nundle if anyone wants to tag along their welcome.

    G’day Gents
Sorry it has taken so long to add my thoughts on our ride. Good old Gopro edit software has meant it has taken this long to put something together. Even now the clip is very poor. But anyway, the ride was awesome as always. Great group that had a great flow (between tube changes, all of which I was busy kicking rocks and looking at the ground). The lunch at the Berry Farm was great. Highlights were having Mat overtake me down parachute hill only to find he did it with a flat front. Really goes to show that I need to grow a pair or get a Sherco. I also enjoyed running into Boony (shortley after he removed some mud from the ground with his rear tyre and guess what…I was right behind him), chasing Andy through some singles, popping 4….maybe 5 foot wheelies trying to keep up with Boze and the other orange riders. All in all a great ride and I am ready for the next. Thanks to all involved. Cheers to the lead and sweep as always.
If you want to check a KTM getting it a little bit wrong on the way back to the cars just forward to the end of the youtube clip. cheers
