Despite Tamworth being dust dry and getting no rain, the Nundle forest got an inch last night so after a delayed start while Boll went to his Saturday morning Yoga class, Damus Bols and I headed for the hills to reaquint Bollocks with riding and see id his mystery bag bike would make it of the trailer.

We were met with supreme riding conditions despite getting on the bikes at 11 am. No dust, not much mud and sweet singles to ride. In fact we even cut in another new trail just for the sake of it, not long but quality pine single.

We stuck pretty much to the pines where the temperature was very comfortable and the riding sweet. Bolls never missed a beat and apart from having just one get off (unlike the normal get off every 100m) it was like he had never been away. More remarkable still the Otto bin he calls a bike was faultless, no oil leak no thunder of disintegrating motor bits and not even a cloud of smoke pouring out the side.

Nundle could do with another 600 mm of rain to get things back to normal but today it was nice to be back to riding without the dust clouds that have been everpresent this summer. If we get more rain the only thing we will need is to put on rear tyres with at least someknobs on them, Nundle is always good at reminding you that slicks have no place when the red dirt gets wet.

Thanks to damus for sweeping as usual.

Nice to be back in the saddle :cheer:
Due to my supreme fitness i pulled up a fair bit better than i anticipated
the red beast handle the conditions well and gave me no problems all day, apart from the fact that the rekluse clutch is gone and i had to get back to using the clutch again
Thanks Snowy and Damus for taking the time out to take me for a spin :)
Those Nundle pines need a shit load of rain but we were lucky as they had just enough to settle the dust,i reckon if you went up there today it would be dustville again :(
Im glad i went over the bars at least once..i would hate to forget my crash positions
Snowy and the lads have put some awesome singles in up there and we half put another one in B)

Lifting those cans kept your arms in good nick, i always try and alternate when having a few ales with the boys and give the left arm a work out too! When its close to a big ride I even walk home sometimes!!
Hope to catch up with you for a training session soon. ;)
