Well another great day of riding at Barrington. 12 Riders started out and it did not take long for the slippery clay to start claiming scalps. The first hill saw 4 bikes down, the second hill saw another 4, so and so forth until the group got the hang of the conditions.

Thanks to Jonsa for leading, I played sweep and had a great day! Picked up more bikes than I care to count and pushed, pulled and kicked bikes up hills all day but everyone took it all in their stride and it was great fun and alot of laughs.

Should be in receipt of some video footage of my 4 attempts (I Think) of one of the last clay hills. Was determined to make that left line work ….. it didn’t :silly:

Cudos to Fuchsy, drove all the way from port, rode all day even when he was buggered and was still smiling when he left the pan. Should have some good footage of the mighty WR navigating the clay before we let some air out of those tires.

Same goes to the young bloke on the DRZ400 and the other WR pilot TJ Blue who put up with a misbehaving WR and a sore, post re-hab ankle. The DRZ400 was a bitch to start all day and the WR thankfully had no trouble starting but stalled all day.

Happy to report that all the KTM’s performed flawlessly ……. again.

    Hey guys

Well thanks for everyone turning up for the ride what a great day. 12 of us headed out about 8 in the morning to tackle some hills, singles and creek crossings. The tracks were in perfect condition it was just wet enough for nearly no dust and to make the hills just a little more challenging. Being the start of the season we probably could of skipped a few of them but I think everyone enjoyed the challenge even if they were hurting a bit.

I only lost 4 guys on this loop (hahaha squiggs) but it is a long challenging ride. I am happy to conform that there were no brake downs or injurys just some worn out guys with smiles on there faces well mostly smiles it was a long exhausting ride that went over its allocated time period (sorry chaps).

It was good to meet some new faces and catch up with some old. I can’t wait to do it all again and a big thanks to squiggs for being sweep/recovery guy on the day.

    Cheers Jonsa

yeah thanks guys I had a ball I am so sore today I can barley walk I got some good footage ill edit soon.

thanks to all that came. big thanks to jonsa for leading and mr squiggles for sweeping (and letting about 100 psi out of my tyres lol).

I was so worn out by the last hill that jonsa had to ride it for me. my last attempt I fell off and rolled 10 meters down the hill into a ditch on my back and couldn’t get up for a bit fatigue had me stuffed. walking up that hill almost killed me.

cant wait for the next one hopefully ill be a bit fitter by then

    thanks again :)
