Just wondering is anybody still using the spot 2 and if they are experiencing the same drama I am.
I was going for a ride today and decided to start up the spot so the wife could check on me as I was heading out the back of the dam, I started it up alrite and got the required green lights. sent a text message, this seemed to go through on the tracker but nothing came through the phone, I then signed in to my account wich is still current and it kept saying no devices found on the screen where you can share your profile. it almost seems its not picking the device up
any ideas on what this could be
cheers HMarch 23, 2014 at 8:55 pm #255140It may have been an issue with the Spot site yesterday H,,
I had the same problem with mine and only found out late yesterday when I got home & the missus was pissed as she hadn`t received an OK message all day, then couldn`t see anything on screnn when she checked juat before I arrived home
This is the forst timke this has happened to mine in 3 years of use mate, it`s normally reliable , but that`s what you buy them fir, to work when shit hits the fan :whistle:I will check the operation this arvo after work to see if it`s ok now

At least I can count out mine being faulty now. It’s still down at the moment and I’ve fired off an email to them so we will see if they get back to me.
Might be possible they diverted sats to look for plane who knowsMarch 24, 2014 at 3:41 am #255141Well funny situation this is,
I got my Check in OK message today at 11.30 (nearly 24hrs after I sent it)
My wife even rang me to ask why I had left work to go riding ??? :laugh:Sounds like there was a glitch of some kind over the weekend, which would have been shit if I had an incident riding solo and was still lying out there 24 hrs later :S
Pays to double check operation of the device before leaving home I guess , especially on a multi day ride
March 24, 2014 at 4:31 am #255178Ha ha same here buddy
Wife got texts today around the same time, problem was she gave me a list of stuff to get done and thought I canned it and went ridingMarch 24, 2014 at 6:10 am #255179We use 2 of them at work for our isolated workers. I get them to do a start up and send a text once a week.
They too are very hit and miss. Sometimes the message comes through late or not at all. Even though it says it was sent on the unit. Just about given up on them.
March 24, 2014 at 6:32 am #255180Gotta say mine has been fine up until yesterday, I’ve had no real problems with it

,Dear SPOT Customer,
We are aware that some of you experienced delays sending messages from your SPOT devices over the past weekend. As soon as we learned of this issue, we worked quickly to resolve it and at this time, all messages that were sent should have now been delivered. Messages are now being transmitted normally.
If you have any additional questions, please contact Customer Care at FindMeSPOT.com/ContactUs or 1.866.OK1.SPOT.
Thank you for your continued loyalty,
