    Hi all
just wondering if you guys have come across this before, I have a bit of brown sludge on the Radiator cap.
I know grey sludge generally means oil is getting into the water somewhere but I haven’t seen this color before. Oil is normal with no discoloration.
The bike is 2014 KTM EXC its got 40 hours on it now and still running the original coolant with nothing added since new. I was going to change it at 50 hrs.

    Cheers H

That’s odd mate I have 140 hours on mine with no sludge or build up whatsoever.

Just went for a run on the hi way came back and nothing on the cap and the coolant is still looking clear.
Gonna go and get some ice next week and change it out I think . Might even take the rads off and flush the whole system just to be sure.

It’s almost as though the coolant is breaking down

Wouldn’t worry about that amount -h- its nothing. When you put that ice crap in you need to flush the system anyway mate. Make sure its all clean and nothing to contaminate the ice coolant ;)
