Hi all, looking for some advice, I managed to drown my 350 Berg today. I tipped it up & emptied the water out of the exhaust. Then got towed home in neutral. Pulled the spark plug & poured in a bit of metho and cranked it over to clear the water. My problem is it simply wont fire!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,

Have you checked for spark ?

    The three suspects

Spark, Fuel, Compression, (I don’t think you’d have lost compression) if you have all of them you should be good to go.

    Hey Adam,
Pretty sure its spark’n but will double check in the morning. I’ve got plenty of fuel or is there a way water could have got in there as well? I dumped the oil & didn’t see any milkyness in it so im hoping its not anything major!!
    Cheers,

If no spark, check the fuses, may have shorted and blown one.

Check if all the lights and indicators are working, may indicate a fuse is blown too.

Take your air filter out too and give it a wash and re oil, may be sucking just enough water to upset things.

It’s efi isn’t it? Put ya ear to the tank then turn the. Key on and see if you Han hear it prime.

Uummm that’s about all I kan think of at the moment.

Let us all know how you got on.

You wouldn’t see milky oil until it had run with water in the oil.

Thanks for all the advice so far boys, much appreciated. When I hit the start button the fuel injection does its thing & pumps. I think I might have to put a new spark plug in but of coarse ive done this on a long weekend so I’ll have to wait untill Tuesday to get one. Will let you know the end result!!

Grab hold of the lead and hit the butten, you will soon find out if you are getting power to the plug. Go on, it wont kill you.
