Cheers to the crew that make it happen and everyone that participates to make it awesome

June 9, 2014 at 7:41 am #257335my photo report only took 8
the end of day one I took my boot off
then the other I picked up a leech on each leg blood every where little fuckers
in he’s own words I brought a knife to a gun fight (video to come on this)
this is what happens when you try to keep up with boulder and fish
popey and I where going crazy though the wooh boys in one part they where amazing though I could not jump the ones with uphill landings but the crf could so he pulled away from me we where both going harder and harder as the riding was amazing I came around the corner and seen the worst my mate laying not moving 10+ meters from he’s bike dirt and tire marks every where I was so concerned I didn’t turn the camera on but got a couple of photo’s after picked popey up and he’s bike
trust me the smile only lasted 5 seconds he was hurting
the only wet part of that section what made him come unstuck. see the start on the left then kicked him to the right
one last photo before we leave. I hope you didn’t break that foot again all the best
video report to come

June 9, 2014 at 9:35 am #257337My shortest ride report ever.
I committed the ultimate schoolboy error on Friday afternoon on the way down the M5 to Mittagong, when cruising at 100k, I failed to notice a large SUV had actually stopped in front of me.
Or rather I did notice but way too late to stop in time. I hauled on the anchors and fishtailed down the road, shoulder charging his rear tailgate, leaving a much greater impression on it than on any former rugby opponent.
Amazingly little damage to the bike. The couple in the SUV were very good about my stupidity.
Incident Response Unit, Police and Ambulance all turned up within what seemed like five minutes.
I thought the ambulance dudes were going to kidnap me then, but managed to persuade the Policeman not to let them take me away.
So it was on to Mittagong. Wolfie filled me full of drugs (legal ones of course) and after a few beers I even thought I might be in with a chance of doing the ride the following day, despite the fact that Boulder had had to take my helmet off and I had needed Lachíe’s help to get out of my gear, due to the fact I couldn’t lift my right arm.
It was good to catch up with Michael and hear about his trip around the America’s on his GS800. 100,00k in two years, from LA to Miami, Alaska and down through South America to the tip of the continent. How’s that for an adventure! Ace was lapping it up. Finally his choice of bike had been vindicated! (only joking mate, I might have one in the shed after hearing what Michael had to say).
Managed a reasonable nights sleep but woke up and soon realized, after ten minutes of painful manoeuvring just to get myself out of bed, that I was no chance of riding.
A perfect day for the ride, I was even more pissed off with myself watching everyone roar off on what was sure to be a cracker couple of days.
Oh well, I’ll be on the next one in July. There is something to be said about being a Trailer Queen after all.

June 9, 2014 at 10:20 am #257386Great weekend yet again, and thankyou to all that make it all possible, luv ya work
Awesome tracks and trails over the two days, greasy as in parts which made it interesting
It always seems to be the most recent ride becomes the best ever, but this one really was a beauty :woohoo: Not only on the trails but both nights in the pub were great too :silly:
Ace, mate thanks for riding with me and trailering me and my bike there and back made the weekend tops and don’t forget to allow yourself some more time off work and hopefully get out on a few more this year
TB and crew 10 out of 10 on this one had an absolute blast, will definitely be back for another one hopefully sooner rather than later.Cheers James

Well mate, I had two choices.
I could have gone for a ride in the Ambulance, spent the night in hospital with no beer, no company and hospital food, to be told by a Doctor “ya shoulder is buggered, you won’t be riding tomorrow”, or I could ride to Mittagong, have beers, some good laughs and a steak to be told by Wolfie “ya shoulder is buggered, you won’t be riding tomorrow”.
No contest really.

June 10, 2014 at 5:40 am #257339Hi All,
Well first ride back in over a year, after my little off in Tamworth, and I was feeling a little nervous to say the least !! only one thing for it {BEER} that fixed it until the morning !! Once I’d pushed the button, and the big girl jumped to life I new all was good, Boulder, Yakka and myself roared off into the cold followed soon after by lots of dirt ,mud, creek crossings, pine forests, slippery hills and the most amazing scenery followed up by a great night at Oberon, meeting up with some old faces and lots of new ones, including the Irish contingent so good to see so many new guys and girls Adventure riding.
Next day didn’t go as planned ,poor old Yakka’s DR broke its suspension linkage and just stopped dead so we awaited the support truck soon, as the sweeps got there Boulder and I took off and what a day we had a real Adventure, Thanks to TB and Steve and all the crew for a great job you really do know how to put a ride together. I’d also like to say a big thank you to Lockey who worked he’s butt off this weekend well done young man, hope to see you on the next one.
Cheers Fish -
