sorry mate be a while before i would look at a sherco , a ride on the weekend w ith a 2014 300 and a factory 300 that was brand new went home on a trailer with electrical problems and out of 28 bikes on a 3 day ride that covered 520 km were the only bikes that had problems .
i w ill stick with the 250 exc smoker

HOLD ON can a mod delete this post there are words like 250 exc in a sherco forum. Highly offensive i reckon …
the sherco dealers well mine for a start. If there are any issues they go well and truly beyond what they are ment to keep the bikes going. Every bike has problems even boonys old ktm had dramas but the dealers fix these things. Give ya mates factory a chance soon you will be behind it and will be looking a getting the 300 2t sef smoker… :laugh: :laugh:

Seen a factory 250 getting fired in anger last weekend and a stock 300 4 stroke as well. 2nd and 3rd overall in A grade. They will hold there own. I can remember when the world said “they won’t last” when ktms burst onto the market. I even seen a DRZ break down once. Hey frenchy put a kick start on the 300 4 banger and I recon there on a winner.

the first point about them not hanging around ? they already have been around forever as bultaco / sherpa so thats never in doubt
the 300 is one of the best bikes i have ridden nearly made me turn gay …….er back to a fourstroke (same thing isnt it )
Mofo taking over as importer has to be a major improvement for parts and back up
but no kickstarter
no resale value
little things like the gear lever is very easy to strip (they have a piss poor tapered spline )
fuel tank connection is a great idea but has its vulnerabilty
as i said earlier the spare parts have probably improved with ne w importer but it needed to
so a great bike to ride but would i own one ………..NO

did i say i was on it ? it doesnt take to much to find out when there was 26 other riders on it and tell me im wrong and the shercos didnt break down…Trent

Are you wrong. Only if your not talking about the KTM break down mid morning and loading a Yamaha on the trailer before lunch both on day 1 and the husky doing a gear lever ( maybe they use the apparent weak sherco design.?).

You talk like no other bike has broken down on the side of the trail before. My previous bike bought brand new KTM 450 in under its 1st 1000kms needed top end rebuild with a unknow oil issue. Know of another bought again brand new needed top end rebuild with head issues. I also know another bloke he has 2 ktms 1 of which had wiring issues where his bike would not even start. Think you might know him.?? I did not feel the urge to go and start slamming these bikes cause I am not ignorant to the fact that every bike breaks down/has issues.

Next time you have a personal problem with someone maybe address that issue another way maybe with them rather then cowardly bad mouthing via internet and forums bringing other people and bikes into it, like me that actually loves my Sherco 300SER-F “14” I ride, what happened to my bike was just a misfortunate thing could of happened on any EFI bike and my dealer (Flynn Motorsports) went well and truly above and beyond dealing with my fault allowing me to complete the full 3days. You probably have no idea to what was the actual fault instead just started flapping gums and typing..

Did you see one of those new orange Sherco’s at Singleton on the weekend?? It had no kickstart so it must have been a Sherco……….

come on guys we all enjoy riding and havn a joke ,but this in my oppion shouldn’t be happening, i don’t know the full story, but all bikes have there faults, brake down ,some wording here mite have been misread or miss wrote, and the personal problem that has been raised should be dropped and let things lie, sorry if iv put my mouth out of place, the tension that’s there go for a ride enjoy yourselves

to the admin if you think im out of line feel free to delate my post and tell me to shut up

i agree totally with you you wolfie this shouldnt be happening you can delete my post as well , as in my post it is “my opinion” i actually give the bike a wrap but I still wouldnt own one, as this is probably more a personel attack at me and as you can see the crap that its started so im sorry to anyone that this has offended and wish racin ( who i dont even know by the way ) would stop blubbering on and ruin a good sight and as for the sorting things out other than the internet you idiot (racin ) i have spoke to person i have a problem with face to face and he didnt have much to say at all so cut the crap and move on .

Racin I am not sure if you have a commercial interest then you should declare it up front so people know who or where you are coming from, if you don’t no worries everyone is welcome
