Thanks to all the boys that fronted up in hot dry conditions to run around our backyard. 23 fronted for Friday and 31 for Saturday with only a couple of dnf’s and a recovery vehicle that scored two simultaneous flat tyres getting us our afternoon cold drinks.
Only 8 riders went out this morning and I hope they get back ok I was too shagged to join themHope everyone enjoyed themselves and great to see Mick and Moose do a adv ride up yesterday to join us all for drinks and dinner- top effort boys.
Ill leave the ride reports to the others but from my point of view I had a great time
to celebrate last night we included some awards
King of the North: Rob 400. Smashed our trails and never stopped smiling even though he was on a drz
Boy Scout: Aaron- only got 3 km up the tar before realising his bike was bleeding oil from his sump plug which he forgot to do up.
Crash fit: Buzz, did it in style
Gravity sucks: Smally – what goes up must come down even when you think you have learnt to fly on a dirt bike
The sheep encouragement award: Dickie- he just rounded up the herd all weekend while wearing jeans and never looked like he was trying at any time
Rolling race winner: GMAc who in true OBT spirit cheated and started before the starters gunHuge cheer to super sweep demus who swept all weekend and must have ate an acre of nundle dirt following every one around

November 16, 2014 at 6:14 am #260259Thanks all for a great ride,
I only did the Friday loop as I was to help my wife with her business on sat, but was let off at the last moment. I did the recovery vehicle this year and had a blast doing it. something a little different chasing you lot through the bush trying to get in front for some great piccy’s……… I got a ktm from the mad max films on the trailer    (sorry XY can’t help myself) 😆 :silly:
Toes and the big XR mad a trip down the hill on the back of the ute, we swapped it out for the mighty sherco…
who’d a thought a flat tyre at the last drink stop for the day. I start changing that when XY asks me what pressure I run me tyres at. “either you run em low, or this F*cker is flat to” 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 was along the lines he said.. luckily the crew turned up and helped change and plug the other rooted tyre. I will be getting four new ones tomorrow. thanks for the help fellas. and all the co2 cylinders…
night times saw the pilgrimage to the pub for dinner and beers.
thank you XY transit for making the bike ramp I won. the lazy pig dog used it to get on the trailer thismorning..
SNOWY TELLIING RON THAT HONDAS RULE
DICKIE RIDES LIKE THIS ALL DAY
MORE TO COME”

A really enjoyable ride.
Damus gets a big thank you for sweeping both days.
Thanks Andy for the support ute, delivering fuel up to the Berry Patch and recovering expired bikes.
Also for providing the would u believe two flats at one time competition, and the how many dirt bike riders does it take to repair 2 flats comp.
To the Berry Patch a great lunch, with desertThanks All for participating on the ride, on to next year now ( I am sure that next years ride is already going through the minds), hopefully in the winter months.

November 16, 2014 at 8:29 am #260264Well what a top weekend :woohoo:
Thanks to the Tamworth boys for putting it on, and a special thanks to Snowy, Boony, Aaron and Damus who all swept, not an easy task in such dusty conditions.
Andy did it easy Saturday in air conditioned comfort
(except for changing two tyres  :pinch: ) but gave it a good crack Friday on the bike
Sundays ride was a cracker, Buzz had us buzzing
a couple of minor issues one seeing a WR with a leaky radiator heading back to town left us with six riders and the pace was on, no time spent on the corner, by the time you stopped Aaron was waving you on :woohoo:
Thanks to all that came as its the crew that makes a ride
Till the next one.
Adam.
