June 29, 2015 at 4:44 am #104508Hi All,
Adam and I were keen to ride on Sunday started after 9am as its a bit warmer. after every one else arrived……. A party of two headed out for Ourimbah from Adams place . Adam thought I should lead.. started after 9am as its a bit warmer. after every one else arrived……. A party of two headed out for Ourimbah from Adams place . Adam thought I should lead.. funny fella. funny fella.
No one was in the car park looking for a tour guide, so .. off we went . :woohoo: may be a little less woo hoo as we both left our super power at home. :blush:Started under the bridge into the quarry. so far so good, but the trails have been wet and well used. :pinch: deep ruts and even standing water. This was the first time in since the storms and there are a lot of work around with fallen trees. I had put the red spring in for the first time on this this ride, felt brave , just not well. The bike is different, it comes on the power better and lifts the front easier. Not the best day for a test but I like 👿 I happened to have my feet separate from the pegs up a particularly large uphill step… but I didn’t see this as a need to back off until I was up. :woohoo: It works, all good :pinch: and Adam got a laugh. Any way we went down into the valley and up both the pipe lines. Loked in on Scattons rd? ( Adam will correct) the ride followed a simple routine ride , water ( stuck ) ride ,tree (cut) When we got to a ride, cut , walk cut, cut , walk ride, cut  we were done, :pinch: singles back through to Ourimbah car park and on to Adam’s place. Good to be out amongst it 😆 I think I leave Ourimbah to dry out and play in the Watties next . Thanks Adam fun as always Gordo June 29, 2015 at 9:28 am #262169Adams Ourimbah rides always sound unreal and it sound like you have the bike dialled Gordo , I’d love to get down that way for a ride this year !! MurphJune 30, 2015 at 1:11 am #262189Hi Murph,
I’m hearing you, the clearing of the trails suck .. .. and I only did a bit. :whistle:As I was out front I tried to force my way through in one section under a tree…. :pinch: Adam walked in behind me took my hand saw out of my bag and cut me and bike free. It didn’t work out as I had hoped. I’m looking at getting a small chain saw just for this kind of clean up. The trouble is you need a better way of carrying it than on your lap. I’m out for a couple of weeks but another Watties is on the cards mid – end July Gordo June 30, 2015 at 9:40 am #262192Thanks heaps for the offers , Smally and Chris both raved about your single track and hills !!
