Sorry I didn’t post this one up :(

But with a cold still lingering and having to finish early due to other commitments I thought it best

Gordo, Ian, Sam and I headed to Brothers Rd to start our assault on the Watties ;)

With Ian fresh from a Chris Birch training day we thought we’d up the grading a bit :woohoo:

Hottest day in ages :S who’s idea was this

We headed up the track to the first real obstacle and Sam’s stuck with his chain de-railed

We fix that and give him a push and off he goes, meanwhile Gordo and Ian are scouting for another path and Gordon come up trumps ;)

The video shows the path up the rocks B)

From here it was the usual stuff, rocks, ruts, tree roots and some flowing stuff :woohoo:

Next we hit Boyds and decided to do the enduro loop (which I have never done). Well what a hoot :woohoo:

It went down and down and down even further. We crossed the valley floor. We went through some creeks round some trees, over some trees, some shot off into the wilderness after having stuffed up some trees (I won’t mention Sam’s name) and then inevitably it went back up

The video shows some of the fun had on the ascent

From this point some were tiring however we pushed on :)

The usual stuff from here till Ian had to take an easier path where we met up again at Whitemans
    Ridge.

The heat, my cold and the thought of a cool beer and swim won over the boys minds so we singled it to the steel ramp, down Maculata and back to the cars.

It was a short but challenging ride, good to get back on the bike after my OS trip and really hit it :)

Thanks Sam, Ian and Gordon for an enjoyable ride :woohoo:

    Adam.

    Yes Ev it is.

Gordon loves it and has about 1200k’s on it. He’s currently thinking about rotating it.

He put it on new for LC’s south coast ride.

It looks in really good nick for 1200k’s.

Good to see you got down this way for a ride, shame I was OS at the time.

Murph always hosts a good challenging ride B)

    How does it corner

    How to rate a tyre????????

Pends on what is your preference

Fast/ technical/ rocks,/real rocks/steps, Real steps and more rocks :woohoo:
Hope to be up and riding ASAP
I am unfortunately on the Fucki g side line
    Let the Dragon loose B)
I am so sick of hanging back

    How does it corner?
    Great! :woohoo:
It’s size appears to be a bigger bag that the 140 it replaced.
I was told by the motoz rep that the tyre was designed to run at 6psi that what i use.
I have had 1200 km plus so far.
The edge of the block now appear rounded so its a good time to check the cords and rotate.
The major difference i found was the fact i had to ease up on the back brake and have a less aggresive throttle.
The tyre will grip down seriously shitty hills and up when you allow it to bite.
    that was the hardest thing.
At 6psi not loose on the road at 100kph
You know the stuff we do down here, no marks on the side walls and has good rubber rim coverage.

All in all, loving it. If it fails the cord inspection, i’m not too worried as i’m in front . But if its ok the story will continue…

1200ks,6psi sounds to good to be true im gunna try one, what about mud and wet clay G?
I know some adventure blokes that use them and love them which I thought was srtange being a trials cross

I go the same places with the motoz as the other boys 👿
the only time i had trouble was on LC’s ride in the beginning. I Suspect it was the loose shalely ground and I had to come to grips with the riding style changes. Who knew i had any riding style..
Adam the tour guide knows too well that the tyre works otherwise he would have to push more… :pinch:

    Now about the ride..
    Gents ,

This ride started like all others , where to go , where to start from and went to go.

Easy . Its was billed as an unknown quantity as Adam hadn’t been this way in a while. but new stuff is always fun …. right? ;)

We gathered up who we could Ian and Sam.
Ian’s keen and ready to put his refined skills to play ( thanks to a Chris Birch 1 day course) so a quick I’m in, and all done . Sam was an unknown as all these young blokes, these always something, drinking with the mates or someone to do. :S So a nice surprise he turned up Sunday morning… late and Adam all but dressing him..

At this stage I clearly remember saying to Ian that we haven’t been this way for a long while and we didn’t know what we were in for…. well I might have said some of it. ( disclaimer) .
Still the team assembled off we go. B) B)

No real drama in, up to Sam dropping his chain, that where Ian was volunteered  to run the rock ramp first . He got up well 85%, stopped , slid down 75% and fell 10% with Adam as a cushion. Looked spectacular . :pinch: Ian nailed it the second time, :woohoo: tens all round.
After we were all up out on to the main trail and we’re off!!!!! duck in and out of a few left handers and an other looking for the “enduro loop”. Just a small issue “loop” infers a return to the same point. Because that’s not what happened.
Steep country in and steep country out 6 ks 3 odd hours. and thats only part of it. Good day at the office.
A few of the bikes were looped around, more than a few us made touch downs.
My bike punched the ground a bit hard and snapped one of my bark buster off
the internal mount. My rear brake pads called it on this ride. just added to the pleasure .
Prick hill came and when. All back to the cars and off home by 2pm.
As usual this ride one didn’t disappoint. Sam and Ian enjoyed the company as always. :P

    Adam thanks for the memories

    Cheers Gordo

PS I wish some big and important person would fix my account and clear the block from my IP account so I can log in from home…
