Cut and Paste from the net.
A sweltering spring day in Sydney did little to stop hordes of people visiting the first day of the 2015 Sydney Motorcycle Show presented by InsureMyRide today.
Just days after the world unveiling at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy, the 2016 Ducati Diavel, Multistrada 1200 Enduro, Scrambler Sixty2, Yamaha MT-03 and Suzuki’s SV650 were unveiled to the Australian market during the morning’s ‘Media Walk’.
Kawasaki’s 2016 ZX-10R was the big draw card to their full range of motorcycles on display while Yamaha featured a host of 60th anniversary machines in their nostalgic livery as wheel as the wild, new XSR700 roadster.
Indian Motorcyles unveiled the new Indian Scout Sixty, while BMW Motorrad presented their new BMW F 700 GS and F 800 GS. Triumph introduced the next generation of the iconic Bonneville – with five exciting new Bonneville motorcycles.
The 2015 Sydney Motorcycle Show is on at the Sydney Showgrounds at Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush bay and runs from 20-22 November. There is a huge line-up of motorcycle entertainment scheduled throughout the weekend.
Visitors will see over 130 Exhibitors showcasing a huge range of motorcycles, scooters, ATV’s, side-by-sides, trikes, PWCs and a huge array of motorcycle products and services. Live demonstrations from Australia’s best Motorcycle performers are also taking place with interactive displays, special guests, test rides for adults and children, and the popular Head2Head EnduroCross.

i got to have a chat with a heap of old familiar faces, including 3 times ASBK champ Shawn Giles who I knew from many years ago. He was at the Suzuki stand.
The number of sites this year was down from the last show I went to at Darling Harbour but was fantastic if you were into retro bikes or ADV’s I really liked the Triump and Guzzi stand.
Aussie Trials champ Jack Fields was in the other pavillion doing some trick stuff on a 300 gasser trials bike including a few back flips, can ride!
Good day out but the heat was mad!! The insure my ride chicks were smoking hot!

Had a good chat to the bloke from Bike Biz and will go and have a test ride when they come out. Loved seeing all the new bikes. The Yamaha dirt bikes are now yellow – WTF? An enjoyable day all said.

November 26, 2015 at 8:52 am #263102Fun fact, my old man worked on the original bikes from the first movie, modifying bikes to look like they were from the apocalypse. Basically wrecking the paint, throwing a saddle on em and putting big rear sprockets on the bikes so they could pull a wheelie easy for the stunt riders
He was quite impressed with the modern crop of mad max machines, said they went to a hell of a lot more trouble this time around customizing the bikes. Alot more creativity and time went into those machines than the originals …. so there ya go, you should have been suitably impressed by the mad max bikes, best ones so far
