Well, things didn’t start that well for me. I thought I may be pushing my luck going for my third ride for the week, but with who was coming on the ride, had me keen to risk the wrath of the loving wife.
Some friends of my brothers indicated they were coming and as I have never ridden with them I was keen to get out there.
Anyhow the wife seemed OK about it all and it was organised that everyone was to meet at my shed at 8am Sunday morning.
As it turns out, that was the flaw in my plan. The wife is partial to a sleep in, if the chance arises and Sunday was the day she had ear marked for a lay in.
Chris decided that he needed a different tyre on the XR so he turned up at 6.30 am, slams the door on his van then goes to the shed and proceeds to belt the rim with a rubber mallet at the same time dropping tyre levers on the concrete and generally making a fair bit of noise.
Well she cracked it and come out and called him effing C*#t and was generally rather hard to get along with, which is rather out off character for her, especially using the “C” word!!
Things weren’t looking good for me going for a ride at that moment until she looked at the look on my face and she says “and You….You can F#*k off as well!!”
So I took my cue and pissed off up the road.
    The crew consisted of.
    Mick XR600
    Tripper 630 XR600
    Moose XR600
    Boag XR400
    Fossil CRF250X
    Ant KTM530
    Graham WR250F
We took the trail I have ear marked for the boys from Sydney when they are up next. A 95km loop to Comboyne Rock and back.
As it turns out, what started out as a bad day turned into a ripper as the trails were perfect, we had no offs for the whole day and not one spanner was needed.
That might have had something to do with the fact that there ws so many Hondas on the ride???……….

Fossils Missus was definatly in a better mood than mine because she met us at Swans crossing with a BBQ and fed us all before we headed back to Wauchope.
We finished the day off, like usual with a few beers and some bullshitting in my shed.
Here are some pics from the ride…….

I was a bit lucky that, when we got back to my shed the missus wasn’t home and everyone had left by the time she got home and she had cooled down considerably, so all is cool on the home front again. Untill……..Next weekend .
    he he he.

Dont worry Guys I will talk to his Missus next time I see her, I will fill her in on the truth,
That will teach you Mick for riding 3 times in a week and I cant throw a leg over one yet

The only tool produced was a “Barbie mate”. So in my book that is a good ride.
The missus hasn’t given me anymore grief over the fact I rode three times in one week, but my neck and shoulder has. It is a bugger getting old. I am having trouble hanging on to the rip roaring power of the mighty Honda with it’s new carby.

to my defence it was 3 degrees in micks shed, the tyre was old and as hard as a honeymooners tockley. i got wheel bearings and seals, dust seals on back order

Are you game enough to come around this arvo?? The missus will be at the gym,so you will be safe!!!
The 990 has a problem that I need three hands to fix.Plus the 530 needs a service as well.

Nah all’s good, she still loves me(it is Chris who is in trouble)and she knows if she burnt down the shed and all the bikes, I would get my boat from Ant’s shed and go fishing all the time. When I go fishing I have been known to go missing for a week or more,so she can’t win.;)
