Day 2 of the Australian Safari, and at the time of this update, Shane Diener had a big drama during the 4th and final special section (ss) of the day and came in in 39th spot.
The 3rd section was omitted from the results for all competitors – cars, bikes and quads. (don’t know why yet)
At the end of the 96kms of the 1st ss, Jacob Smiths’(WR) time was 5sec quicker than Ben Grabhams(CRF). Who was 19sec quicker than Shane Diener(KLX).
After the very short 37km 2nd ss, Ben was 3sec quicker than Faggotter(WR), who was 9sec quicker than Fish(KTM), then Diener 12sec behind.
Early results after the 196km 4th ss, Ben came in 8sec quicker than his brother Damien, who was 2min 21sec quicker than Fish, then 6sec to Jacob Smith, with Todd Smith(WR) 6sec behind.
So overall, Ben Grabham has a 14min gap back to Jacob Smith, then just 4mins to Faggotter, then 4min to Damien Grabham.
Shane Diener is back to 13th, just over an hour behind Ben!
    So now it’s CRF,WR,WR,CRF,KTM,WR,CRF,CRF,KTM,KTM.
But of course the news of the day was the ‘big girl’, one of the XR650’s moved up from 13th to 11th………….yeehaa, he’s just biding his time, waiting to pounce……..’like a tiger……like a tiger’
